Happy Hound will be closed on Monday, July 4th. We hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend! Also, please remember that if your dog is exhibiting signs of being ill (sneezing, coughing, lethargy, lack of appetite) we ask that you please leave them at home and call us to let us know what's going on so that we can keep a record. Thank you so very much for your understanding!

Good morning. At this time, we have received word of 3 confirmed cases of kennel cough in the daycare. Kennel cough is an upper respiratory illness, similar to a cold in humans. The primary symptom is a dry hacky cough. Other symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, lethargy and lack of appetite. If you suspect that your dog may have kennel cough, we ask that you please keep them out for at least a week. Normally, it's not necessary to bring them to a vet unless your dog is elderly, a puppy, or weakened immune system. But please use your discretion on visiting your vet. Thank you

We regret to inform you, that we have had some staff positive COVID cases at Happy Hound. We will be closed tomorrow. We plan on having normal operating hours next week unless we have more positive cases over the weekend. Facebook and the message on the phone will have updated info for Monday. Good evening everybody. At this time, Happy Hound does have power and thankfully there is no significant damage to the property and we plan on opening at our usual time. If anything should change prior to 7am tomorrow, we will post it here and on our phone message. If you plan on bringing your dog tomorrow and you are a usual Thursday dog, please take your time getting to us and don't worry if your coming past 9am. If you are a Wednesday dog and would like to come tomorrow am, we ask that you please hold off on calling to see if we have space until after 830am so we can see how many pups are showing up. We all hope your safe and warm and that tonight is a much better night for all!

So sorry everyone about this morning! I couldn't update on Facebook because my service is spotty with the storm. We hope everyone is safe and warm in their homes. We plan to be open tomorrow as long as we have power. If we find any damage to the grounds or building that would make operation dangerous, we will update here and on our phone message.
