We have had several of you ask how you can thank and recognize the wonderful staff who love your fur babies every day, so we would like to offer The Barker House Holiday Fund for the 3rd year! Contributions will be accepted the December 2nd - 19th.

The Barker House Holiday Fund is a way for clients to say "thank you" to our staff members by contributing any amount, and it will be distributed according to the length of employment and hours worked. These funds will be given solely to the staff and I, as the owner, will not be included.

We are so blessed to have you all as part of our family, and the fact that you have asked about showing your appreciation is amazing. This fund will make such a positive impact on our staff during the holiday season.

Again, thank you for your trust & support. We look forward to a peaceful and joyous holiday season!

1. Send via Venmo to amber-bartlett-8 with a note of "Barker House Holiday Fund"

‘Tis the season for...kennel/canine cough 🤕

The kennel cough vaccine works similarly to our flu vaccine, in that it doesn’t protect against every single strain.

So even though your pup is vaccinated, and every pup at The Barker House is required to be vaccinated, it is still possible to catch and spread kennel cough.

If you notice that your pup has a cough, has a runny nose, or is coughing up phlegm, please keep them home from daycare and call the vet for treatment.

We are being super diligent, with extra cleaning regimens and carefully watching pups for any symptoms so that we can catch anything early.

We have amazing pup parents and are thankful for the great care you give your “babies”! Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe and healthy! 💕
