James Ranch Hare Scramble and Grooving for Critters Ride Day
We want to thank the Arkansas Hare Scramble Championship Series, Shane Thacker and The Goat Crew, and The James Ranch for another great year of James Ranch Hare Scramble and Grooving for Critters Ride Day
Thank you to all the racers that came out on Saturday August 24th and paid to practice. Proceeds went to the Randolph County Humane Society and we greatly appreciate it! We loved having your kids and family come help us bottle feed kittens and give love to Little Bit the pup!
So far this year:
115 puppies and dogs saved
164 kittens and cats saved
174 cats and dogs spayed and neutered thru our low cost voucher program
Thank you so much!!!
UPDATE- both have been picked up and rescue pending!!!!
UPDATE ON BRANDY AND FLUFF
They are still staying at the abandoned property. It is getting cold at night and we really need to find a rescue or someone to adopt this pair. Years ago they came to this property as strays, and the owner took them in. Now the owner's health and mind has severely declined and no longer living there.
In the comments is another video of these 2 coming down the road anticipating getting fed!
Brandy, the female black lab, may have had pups in the past. She wants to be loved so bad.
Fluff, the male scruffy dog, is a little reserved, but he wants attention too. He is several years older.
Randolph County Humane Society - Arkansas will cover vetting and organize transport for a licensed rescue.
UPDATE- both have been picked up and rescue pending!!!!
ABANDONED DOGS UPDATE
Brandy and Fluff are letting our volunteer give them attention this morning during a welfare check. These poor dogs have been living on their own and using a nearby shack to hide in.
Randolph County Humane Society - Arkansas will cover vetting and organize transport to a liscensed rescue.
If anyone wants to give them a forever home we will help with the vetting!
Randolph County Humane Society - Arkansas has Jack & Jenny up for adoption!
We are begging for these siblings to get their forever home for Christmas. They are really great dogs. They are great around other dogs, cats, kids, and do well in a crate. They were saved from death row at Pocahontas Animal Control- a kill facility.
They are up for adoption or we will arrange transport for a licensed rescue! #savedfromdeathrow #siblingsneedahome #adoptandsavealife
Does anyone in the Pine/Douthnitt Street area have a black and white husky ?it’s been running around all morning loose!
JACK AND JENNY
$50 adoption fee! We are running a special right now two for one deal! We would love to see this brother and sister get to stay together. They were picked up by Pocahontas Animal Control and were on death row. They were recently spayed and neutered. They are up to date on shots, wormed, and flea and tick treated.
Jack and Jenny recently got to have a playdate outside with other dogs. They are very well behaved with dogs and cats and children! They are leash trained and can ride in vehicles. They have some crate training too.
Jack has a black face and Jenny has a white stripe on her nose!
Meet Petey!
Petey was tied to a tree and left to starve along with the very skinny black lab at Pocahontas Animal Control. They were both picked up and owner cited and went to court. The black lab was scheduled for euthanasia, but was adopted today!
Petey was scheduled for euthanasia too, but wasn’t up for adoption due to him displaying some behavioral issues.
One of our volunteers got him home to let him decompress from the life of tied to a tree to starve and months spent at Pocahontas Animal Control waiting for a judge to release him. Petey just needed out of “jail” and into a normal home. He warmed right up and isn’t having any issues at all! He is a young guy and just wants to play and be loved.
His adoption is only $50 and that includes his neuter, vaccinations, wormer, and flea/tick treatment.
Look at them 2 watching for trick or treaters on West Pyburn Street in Pocahontas 🙂
Jack and Jenny (brother and sister from Pocahontas Animal Control) came to the Howl-O-Ween event Tuesday night and helped pass out candy to the kids and dogs at the trunk or treat event on the square.
Jack was a Pikachu and Jenny was a mermaid! They are so sweet and up for adoption. $50 covers their spay/neuter, vaccinations, wormer, and flea/tick treatment.
UPDATE - SAFE
EMERGENCY! WILL BE EUTHANIZED FRIDAY IF WE CANT FIND AN ADOPTER OR RESCUE! This little female is about a year old. She's had her rabies shot. She was owner surrendered due to moving and can't have pets. This is so common in Randolph County. Landlords don't want animals in rent houses even nice friendly ones. Her fee is $50. This will include being spayed. Could someone save her life?
FOUND - white dog running from Hite Smith Road across Highway 166 to Harmony Road.
Is this your dog?
Leaving dice stop #4 at the Eddie Mae Herron Center! Thank you Pat Johnson for welcoming everybody!
Thank you Hillary Knoche for the video.
