Splash Dance is less than 2 weeks away! We are so excited!!
PRESS RELEASE: Splash Dance for Dogs Returns to Ross Park Aquatic Complex September 20
Get ready to make a splash, Pocatello’s favorite dog-friendly pool party is back! Whether your dog loves to swim or just wants to splash around, this event is the paw-fect way to close out the summer season in style.
Saturday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Ross Park Aquatic Complex (2901 S. 2nd Ave.) will go to the dogs, literally. Organized by , this tail-wagging celebration invites pups to enjoy the pool just like their human pals. Entry is just $10 per dog, with all proceeds supporting life-saving animal programs.
Funds raised from Splash Dance help support key programs at the shelter, including the Second Chance Fund, which provides emergency medical care for animals in need, and Katie’s Old Friends, which helps cover part of the adoption fees for senior dogs age six and older
To help ensure a safe and fun event for everyone, organizers ask participants to follow these guidelines:
• Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with proper ID
• Keep your dog leashed until inside the fenced pool area
• Confirm your dog is current on vaccinations (check with your vet!)
• Bring a doggie life jacket if needed and a few tennis balls (sharing encouraged!)
• Pack the sunscreen, lawn chairs, and the whole family—it’s going to be a great day!
