From kennels to cuddles, every goodbye fills our hearts with hope! Take Flint, for example, who spent 105 days waiting for the perfect family. Watching him walk out the door into his new life was one of those moments that reminds us why we do what we do. And then there’s our adorable little Rolie polie, who thankfully didn’t have to wait long at all before finding a loving home. Stories like theirs keep us going, and we can’t wait to see more happy endings for the wonderful dogs still waiting here. Every day is a step closer to their forever families, and we’re so grateful to be part of their journey.

If you thought Bandit and Bingo were the only low riders stealing hearts around here, think again! Meet Bronco! This little guy is a 1-year-old Frenchie/Staffy mix with short legs, a stout build, and a whole lot of charm packed into just 30 pounds. Bronco is as cute as they come, with an expressive little face and an even sweeter personality. He’s done well with other dogs and seems to really thrive around pups who aren’t too rowdy. He’s more into snuggles than shenanigans.

He’s looking for a forever home where he can be the loving, low-to-the-ground companion of someone’s dreams. Come meet him and see just how much love this little guy has to give!

Meet Bandit & Bingo – two adorable Heeler/Corgi mix brothers (estimated to be under a year old) who are long on love and short on legs! 🐾💕

These sweet boys are playful, social, and full of puppy love. They both enjoy romping around with other dogs and cuddling up for some human affection. 💕

We know, we know, you might not eat them, but to our dogs? Vienna sausages are the ultimate treat. We use them as high-value rewards, especially for dogs in our behavior program who need a little extra encouragement (okay, okay, we bribe them to be our friends ).

Meet our shelter’s hottest duo: Travis & Taylor!
No, not that Travis & Taylor — but trust us, this pair is just as iconic. 😉

🏈 Travis – 3yrs old, Great Pyrenees mix, rocking a totally unique wire-haired look that makes him stand out in any crowd. He’s a little shy at first, but give him a teammate (another dog!) and he’s ready to score big in the game of love.

🎤 Taylor – 5yrs old, Pyrenees/Poodle mix, fluffy, sweet, and totally gorgeous — she’s basically the Eras Tour in dog form. She’s more confident, loving, and the perfect leading lady.

Both are dog-friendly, super sweet, and looking for their forever stage (or stadium 😉). While it would be super cute to see them adopted together, we know they’ll do just fine finding their own happily-ever-afters in separate homes, too. 💕

So Swifties, Kelce fans, or anyone just looking for their furry soulmate — this duo is ready to make sparks fly. ✨

Splash Dance is less than 2 weeks away! We are so excited!!

PRESS RELEASE: Splash Dance for Dogs Returns to Ross Park Aquatic Complex September 20

Get ready to make a splash, Pocatello’s favorite dog-friendly pool party is back! Whether your dog loves to swim or just wants to splash around, this event is the paw-fect way to close out the summer season in style.

Saturday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Ross Park Aquatic Complex (2901 S. 2nd Ave.) will go to the dogs, literally. Organized by , this tail-wagging celebration invites pups to enjoy the pool just like their human pals. Entry is just $10 per dog, with all proceeds supporting life-saving animal programs.

Funds raised from Splash Dance help support key programs at the shelter, including the Second Chance Fund, which provides emergency medical care for animals in need, and Katie’s Old Friends, which helps cover part of the adoption fees for senior dogs age six and older

To help ensure a safe and fun event for everyone, organizers ask participants to follow these guidelines:
• Make sure your dog is wearing a collar with proper ID
• Keep your dog leashed until inside the fenced pool area
• Confirm your dog is current on vaccinations (check with your vet!)
• Bring a doggie life jacket if needed and a few tennis balls (sharing encouraged!)
• Pack the sunscreen, lawn chairs, and the whole family—it’s going to be a great day!

At just 1.5 years old, this pittie mix is exactly what her name promises: pure joy wrapped in a wiggly, snuggly pup. ✨

🎉Adoption Celebration!

Two sweet puppies and one very patient long-term kitty have all found their forever homes! Pepper, Dexter, and Morty.

The puppies bounded off into new adventures, ready to fill their homes with zoomies, belly rubs, and all the joy only a puppy can bring. And our sweet kitty, who had been waiting so patiently for just the right match, finally got the happily-ever-after he deserves.

Congratulations to these three lucky pets and their amazing new families!

🌸 No Mom's Left Behind!🌸

When Josie first came to us, she was heavily pregnant. She went into a foster home where she raised her puppies with so much love and patience, you could tell she was meant to be a mom. 💕Her babie’s have all long been adopted and are in their own homes, and Josie’s overdue for her turn to find the forever family she’s been waiting for.

At about 2 years old, this Blue Heeler mix is a gentle soul. She can be shy when meeting new people and needs time to feel safe, but once she trusts you, her sweetness shines through. Josie loves the company of other dogs and would thrive with a confident pup sibling to show her the ropes. She’s also done well with cats! 🐾

What Josie needs most is a calm, low-traffic home where she can take her time to settle in and learn that she’s safe. In the right home, she’ll blossom into the loyal, loving companion we know she is. 🌟

Josie gave her puppies the best start in life—now it’s her turn to be doted on. 💛

These sweethearts came to us after their previous owner was unable to give them the care they needed. Now, they’re fed, happy, and looking for the forever homes they’ve always deserved.

✨ Paco (1yr Heeler mix) – Playful, outgoing, and always ready to make a new friend! He’s done wonderfully with other dogs, cats and kids, and he’s got the kind of joyful energy that can brighten anyone’s day.

✨ Zena (8mos pocket pittie) – At first she’s a little shy, but give her a moment and you’ll see her playful, snuggly side shine through. She’s also done well with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her the perfect all-around bestie.
