🌟 Adoption Day Spotlight 🌟

🎉 FIRST adoption of the YEAR 🎉

Meet Copper, the feisty orange tabby with a heart of gold and a snuggle game that’s second to none. From the moment his foster family brought him home, he stole their hearts—and it didn’t take long for them to realize Copper was already where he belonged. 💕

This spirited little guy quickly became a part of their family, bringing endless joy, laughter, and, of course, those famous snuggles. Now, Copper is living his best life, surrounded by love and plenty of opportunities to show off his big personality.

We couldn’t be happier for Copper and his forever family! Here’s to a lifetime of happiness, purrs, and snuggles. Thank you for giving this sweet boy the home he so deserves. 🐾❤️

💗 We would personally like to thank each and every one of these organizations and the individuals who keep them going! They have provided us aid in veterinary care, answered countless questions, and educated us in the ways of rescue so that we can be the BEST we could possibly be for the kittens in need in our community. Without them, our rescue wouldn’t have been possible. We will continue to support them all in every way possible! You all do amazing things for our communities, and deserve some recognition for your blood, sweat, and tears! THANK YOU Bingham County Humane Society, Bannock Humane Society, Bannock Feral Friends, Stella’s Shelter Fund, All About the Animals Coalition, Dr Nan’s Veterinary Visits, Hawthorne Animal Hospital, Dustin’ Time Rescue, Pocatello PAWS, Pocatello Animal Shelter, and Animal Health Clinic

Buttercup and Bubbles ready for their morning nap after antibiotics and breakfast 🥹 They still have a little sneeze and cough, but their lungs sound clear!!!

These two babies are only days away from 2 months old, and are still playing catch up on weight from being so sick. Though they’ve been gaining weight, more prayer and good juju is always welcome 💗

We as rescuers know that we can’t save them all, but we sure try!

A litter of four kittens (barely 5 weeks old) were brought to a local Humane Society after losing their mama. They hadn’t eaten in at least 3 days, and were dehydrated and malnourished.

PSA: After 24 hours of no nutrients, organ failure begins. Kittens have an extremely high metabolism, therefore have a need for constant nutrition.

A couple weeks passed, and we thought we had everything under control, as these kittens were seemingly doing well considering what they’d been through. They were small for their age, and couldn’t eat much at a time, but overall seemed fine with no signs of distress.

What we couldn’t see was the damage that had already been done on the inside. Out of nowhere, one of the babies crashed, and passed way within an hour of showing us any signs that something was wrong. The next day, another one.

Two out of the four have now crossed the rainbow bridge 😢 They both fought hard to stay with us, but their little bodies were too weak to fight the fight for life.

The other two are under close watch. They are on antibiotics, a special diet, probiotics, and have required subq fluids on multiple occasions to fight dehydration. I can’t leave them alone for a second, because I never know if they’ll take a turn for the worse…it happens quickly, and with no warning.

I am telling you this story for a few reasons. First, if you have pets, please get them spayed/neutered. It’s better to prevent any unwanted litters before needless suffering, such as this, happens.

Second, if you see kittens in need (or ANY animal for that matter), don’t turn a blind eye. If you can’t help, reach out and find someone who can. Sometimes we see things that really aren’t our problem, but we still need to do what’s right and do what we can and give our aid…. even if that’s finding someone else that will know what to do.

Thirdly, I’m asking for prayers for the remaining girls in this litter. Buttercup and Bubbles are fighting the fight and we’re doing everything we can to give them the chance at life that they deserve. I have them in a makeshift sling (my winter scarf) wrapped around my person so I can keep a close eye on them at all times. They don’t seem to mind 😉

Below I’m posting a funny video of Bubbles and Buttercup in the “sling,” some pictures of Blossom and Mojo (the sweet babies that were too weak from malnourishment and dehydration to survive), and also some information on low cost spay and neuter programs in our area. Please reach out if you have questions or need help!
