As temperatures soar, it’s crucial to keep your pets safe:

☀️ Keep pets indoors where it’s cool and shaded
🚗 Never leave pets in vehicles—even quick errands can turn deadly
💧 Stay hydrated—make sure fresh, cool water is always available
🐾 Limit outdoor time and avoid walks during peak heat

☀️ Summer Pet Cooling Tips ☀️
As we head into the hottest months of the year, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe and cool!

🐾 Hydration is key:

Make sure your pets always have access to clean, cool water—this helps regulate their body temperature.

Consider incorporating wet food to boost hydration.

🐾 Limit outdoor time:

Pets can’t sweat like we do, so they heat up fast!

Opt for walks early in the morning or after sunset to avoid peak heat.

🐾 Don’t shave your pet:

Their coat protects them from sunburn and overheating. Stick to regular grooming instead.

🐾 Know the signs of heat stroke:

Heavy panting

Excessive drooling

Lethargy or fatigue

Rapid heart rate

Elevated body temperature

🚨 If you suspect heat stroke:

Bring your pet inside immediately.

Avoid placing them in ice-cold water—this can cause dangerous shock to their system.

Instead, soak a towel in room-temperature water and gently wipe them down.

Then head straight to your primary care veterinarian or the nearest emergency center.
