🦠🩸🧪 Laboratory Spot Light 🧪🩸🦠

The IDEXX ProCyte Dx Analyzer helps veterinarians check your pet’s health quickly and accurately. It provides results in just 2 minutes from a small blood sample, helping your vet make fast decisions about your pet's care.

What It Does for Your Pet:
‼️Complete Health Check: Looks at 27 different markers in your pet’s blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
‼️Covers Common Issues: Helps identify signs of dehydration, infection, or inflammation that could affect your pet’s well-being.
‼️Tailored for Dogs and Cats: Designed specifically for pets, so the results are precise and reliable.

By analyzing your pet’s blood, it helps your vet spot things like anemia, immune issues, or blood clotting problems early, so your furry friend gets the care they need right away.

🐾 Tips for Keeping Pets Safe During Cold Weather 🐾

1️⃣ Winter Check-Up:
Schedule a wellness exam with your vet! Cold weather can worsen conditions like arthritis or diabetes.
2️⃣ Know Your Pet's Limits:
Short-haired, senior, and young pets feel the cold faster. Adjust outdoor time accordingly, and consult your vet if unsure.
3️⃣ Stay Indoors:
Dogs and cats are susceptible to frostbite and hypothermia. Keep them inside during freezing temperatures.
4️⃣ Check Paws:
Inspect your dog’s paws after walks for cracks, bleeding, or ice buildup. Wipe paws to remove de-icers and chemicals.
5️⃣ Dress for the Weather:
Short-haired pets may benefit from a sweater or coat. Booties can protect their paws from ice and salt.
6️⃣ Be Car-Smart:
Cold cars can be just as dangerous as hot ones. Never leave your pet unattended in the car.
7️⃣ Protect Outdoor Pets:
Provide insulated shelters, fresh (non-frozen) water, and dry bedding. Avoid space heaters or heat lamps.
8️⃣ Watch for Danger Signs:
Whining, shivering, or lethargy can signal hypothermia. Seek veterinary care immediately if you suspect frostbite or other cold-related issues.
9️⃣ Prevent Poisoning:
Clean up antifreeze spills and use pet-safe de-icers. Even small amounts can be deadly to pets.
🔟 Be Prepared:
Stock up on pet supplies, including food, water, and medications, in case of severe weather or power outages.

Stay warm and safe this winter, and don't forget to give your furry friends some extra love! 💕🐕🐈

Traveling with Your Pet: Quick Tips

✔ Prep for the trip: Start with short drives and gradually increase time in the car.

❌ Don’t forget: Bring rabies vaccination records—some states require them.

✔ Use a crate or carrier: Ensure it’s well-ventilated, secure, and spacious for comfort.

❌ No heads out the window: Keep pets safe in the backseat with a harness or in a secured crate.

✔ Pack essentials: Food, water, leash, waste bags, meds, first-aid kit, and a favorite toy or pillow.

❌ Avoid car sickness: Feed your pet 3-4 hours before departure, not while driving.

✔ Stay hydrated: Bring bottled water to avoid stomach issues.

❌ Never leave your pet alone in a parked car: Heat or cold can be fatal.

Safe travels with your furry friend! 🐾🚗

Traveling during the holidays? Whether your pet joins you or stays behind, take these steps to keep them safe:

Health Certificates: For interstate or international travel, pets need a vet-issued health certificate. Check the requirements for your destinations and schedule your vet visit within the required timeframe.
Vehicle Safety: Always secure pets in a harness or carrier, away from airbags, and never leave them alone in a car. Avoid transporting pets in the bed of a truck.
Air Travel: Consult your vet about flying with pets, especially for breeds with respiratory challenges like short-nosed dogs or cats.
Pack for Your Pet: Bring food, medications, medical records, identification info, and first aid supplies. Prepare for emergencies.
Boarding Precautions: If boarding, ensure your pet is up-to-date on vaccines and protected from illnesses like canine flu.
Proper preparation ensures your pets are safe and comfortable, no matter how or where you travel. 🐾✈️🚗

Avoid overindulging your pets with treats during the holiday season to keep them healthy. Stick to portion sizes recommended by your vet and limit treats to special pet-safe options. Some examples of low calorie, safe treats include carrots and frozen green beans. Maintaining balance ensures your furry friends stay happy and fit! 🐾🎄
