The first video is patients training. This technique teaches them to stay with me and anticipate MY movements.
The second video is how to handle when they get excited. In the second video, Huck saw a squirrel who was very close. You want to keep moving when there is a stimulation. Don't stop and let the dog spin out. You're really telling the dog it's okay to act that way. I will usually say something like, "leave it" and just KEEP MOVING. 👍

Puppy power! Walking a new puppy can be time consuming and frustrating.
So...
1. Don't have a time budget. Walk your puppy when you have plenty of time and go very slow.
2. Don't demand too much of puppy. They don't know what their doing. Gentle guidance always works.
