Two posts in one day 🙃 but I just wanted to show how I work with a dog who is a little nervous about being groomed. I don’t use any restraints so they are free to get off the table (although treats are only served on the table) and I only do a little at a time in between treats 🤗 keeping it positive and as stress free as possible
I’m just feeling so grateful of all the support I’ve received so far! It’s allowed me to upgrade my tools to better serve my clients, the latest and best thing being my new electric table! This allows the bigger dogs to get on it from the floor and I can set the level that both your dog and me to feel comfortable. I’m so excited to continue to invest in this small business and I couldn’t without you!
I’m going to run a referral incentive as I am starting to grow through word of mouth! If you refer a client between now and Christmas you will get $10 off your next groom so long as the referred lists your name.
A little throw back of a time lapse of doing my own dogs feet. He was such a great boy for grooming! Probably because I made him do it every three weeks 😂 such a dream. I will always miss him.
I still have some space available for tomorrow this week, and then we are booking for next!
Ever wonder how much hair comes off your dog during a groom? This is about half way through for Luna, the German Shepherd, and doesn’t show all the hair the de-shed shampoo/ conditioner took off in the bath before blow drying 😂 this was so much fun! And Luna was a very good girl!
Puppies! They’re cute, they’re cuddly and they’re a lot of work! Getting them started on the right foundation is critical and this includes grooming. Pickles got a puppy groom today which consists of getting acquainted with all the tools like my nail grinder, clippers, bath, and blow dryer! All quick intros with lots of cookies and praise!
I highly recommend getting your puppy to the groomer even if you don’t think they need groomed yet. It really sets them up for success!

I've noticed over the years that a lot of my bigger/ giant guys are very uncomfortable being on the table for their groom. While the table does give me more control over a dog's movement, if the dog is uncomfortable and fidgety it just cancels that out. My lovely assistant, Auggie, who happens to be a 135 pound Newfie mix is helping me demonstrate how you can still groom a dog from the ground.
We aren't quite there yet but I love how this studio is coming along 😍
