This package was at the Cherry Festival, but we will be selling raffle tickets for it at the car show and virtually up until a week before the event. This 40 pound beauty is Addie. Addie is a spayed female dog between the age of one and two. As you can see she has one blue and one brown eye. She is a slender athletic gal with a great personality. She gets along with all other dogs and while curious of cats does not appear to want to chase them. She walks pretty well on a leash, good in the car, is crate trained and potty trained. Addie just wants someone to loved and be loved by. She is such a good girl. LSAR.rescuegroups.org

Taffy is one of the 12 dogs that were rescued off the streets of Bakersfield a couple of months ago. Taffy was extremely frightened and shut down but in her foster home has made great strides. She is still not entirely comfortable with people, but can be picked up and held. She does not have a mean bone in her body and freezes when she isn’t sure what to do. She is potty trained and loves her crate where she feels safe. We have no doubt that she will eventually blossom in an adoptive home that has the patience to give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. We think this sweet little face will be worth that effort, don’t you? LSAR.rescuegroups.org

And Levi has a home!!!!! Levi was going to require a very patient family that was willing to work with his shy and unsure personality. He sure found the right people. Early reports are good coming in….he is getting more trusting and comfortable and loves playing with the other small dog in the house. We think he has found his forever home for sure❤️❤️❤️

Loretta waited a long time to find her person but it was well worth it. She went home today and is going to be her new mama’s ❤️ dog. Loretta took a minute to warm up as she always does, but after their meet and greet, she happily jumped into the car waiting to take her to her new home. Have a wonderful life Loretta. And thank you to her foster mom who took care of her while she was waiting for that forever home.

So little Thor had a follow up appointment with Dr Tyler today and it appears that his broken leg has calloused and it healing. It is healing fairly straight and properly, surprising since it was not set or repaired in any way. Now what he needs is to rehab and start using that atrophied leg and building back the muscle. This sweetest boy could use an adoptive home that will take the time to make sure he rehabs properly so that he can live a long healthy normal life. Thor is great with other dogs. Wonderful with people. He is potty trained and crate trained. He has the cutest face and will likely be a medium size adult. His ears and little snout are to die for❤️. Are you a good home for Thor? LSAR is very excited to be a part of Polson’s Flathead Cherry Festival again this year! Our booth will be on 4th Avenue next to the Glacier Bank Drive Thru. Our goal is to raise funds and get our name out there for people who are looking to adopt. We hope you will stop by and say “hi” and maybe pick up one of our awesome LSAR t-shirts or hoodies. Gucci is a handsome boy who is good with other dogs and absolutely loves people. He is good with everyone and loves children. He is young, maybe around a year, and is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Gucci is happy to hang out, go for walks, and splash around in the puppy pool. He is not a big barker. This is lovely Luna. Luna is a young adult spayed female dog. We think she may be around 3 years old. Luna is the sweetest girl with people and other dogs. She has a wonderful personality - loving and friendly - wanting pets and cuddles. She is not a barker and would be considered a medium energy gal. Of course with the weather we have been having we are all medium to low energy aren’t we????? Luna is a doll and is looking for a home where she can be treated like the princess she is. This adoption happened last week - so sorry for the delay!! Plum went to her forever home and we are just so happy for her. This little girl was abandoned at just 6 weeks and found herself in a shelter. A shelter is no place for a defenseless puppy so we pulled this little gal with the help of our rescue partner in Bakersfield, CA. Plum got a first class ride to Montana into the waiting arms of her new dad. Early reports are glowing. She is loved by and loves the grandchildren and is learning by leaps and bounds. Oh my, who is this most handsome good boy???? His name is Jenner and he is new to LSAR. He was in a wonderful foster home in Texas and travelled up north to find his forever home. Jenner is not only handsome but has a personality to match. He is a gentle, chill soul who is good with all that he meets, human and animal. Jenner is about 2 years old and is a neutered male. He weighs 60 pounds. He knows basic commands and is great on a leash. He is happy to be in a kennel and is very calm in the house. If you are looking for a great family dog, look no further. Wonderful Winnie is feeling woeful on this Wednesday as she wonders why she has waited for weeks without anyone wanting to welcome her into their world😔. This girl is a hidden treasure! She is under a year old so still a puppy, but house and crate trained like a big dog. She gets along with all other dogs. She is shy when she meets people but quickly becomes a cuddle bug. She really wants to find her own person, as is typical of her breed, which is clearly part heeler. Winnie has energy but not crazy cattle dog energy. She really is a home body and loves her bed, your bed, the couch, and a comfy shady spot in the yard. Will you make wonderful Winnie’s week and consider adding this sweet girl to your family? Meet Lael, a rescue dog whose name means "loyal," and she truly embodies this quality in every way. Lael has embraced life to the fullest, having enjoyed activities like boating, flyfishing, and long walks while living on her foster mom's mini farm. She gets along wonderfully with chickens, ducks, pigs, horses, cows, and cats, showcasing her gentle nature and adaptability.

To everyone looking to add a canine member to your family…….puppies are adorable, yes, and we have puppies of all ages and sizes. The puppies that we would like to spotlight today are the older pups in the rescue. These pups look like adults but are all under a year old so still highly trainable and ready to be part of a new forever family. They are potty and crate trained - major bonus!!!!! They have all lived in foster homes which means their foster parents know them and can give a prospective family lots of information on them. How is Diamond not yet adopted? She is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. She hasn’t met a person or dog that she doesn’t love and she is good with cats and horses. She is super food motivated, crate trained and potty trained. We believe she is a pitty mix, maybe with a little boxer - who knows? Always so fun to discover. She walks pretty well on a leash and does love to go on walks. She is good in a car. She does have some nervous energy but will settle and cuddle in the house. Hey friends…..meet Thor. Cutest guy with upright ears, a bee-stung snout and the nicest disposition. We’ve decided that maybe he is a sharpei and shepherd cross which would make him a “sharpherd”. Thor is a 4 month old puppy that was hit by a car and on the euthanasia list at the crowded California shelter that he ended up at because he had a broken leg. We just couldn’t let that happen to this sweet boy so here he is in Montana! He had his first appointment with Dr Tyler today and his prognosis is pretty good! It is the ball of his femur that is fractured and had we got him earlier, that could have been repaired by pinning it. Because it has already started to heal, we will keep him on crate/leash rest for 2 weeks and see what the break looks like on X-ray at that point. It may be fine with more rest and rehab or it may require an FHO. In the meantime, Mr big ears is hanging out with a temporary foster. Yes, we are looking for someone with a relatively quiet household (ie not one with 4 foster dogs) for Thor for the next few weeks. He is a super sweet young man.

Mufasa aka Todd has a forever home❤️❤️❤️
This guy was rescued from a miserable life over 6 months ago and was in poor condition both physically and mentally. His amazing foster parents, Mike and Arlene Earnst, healed this boy. There were quite a few folks interested in giving him a home, but it never seemed quite right for him, until now. We think this is the perfect placement for Todd and he will flourish with his new family.

Well that didn’t take very long! We got a call about Big Ben and his siblings last week and were able to take them into rescue over the weekend. They were neutered and spayed and made available for adoption on Tuesday. Big Ben’s parents didn’t waste any time putting in an application for this handsome boy, and today, they picked him up and brought him home❤️. Fingers crossed for his brother and sisters, but we think they will also find their forever homes very soon!!

Introducing the New Year litter❤️. This litter of puppies is one of the most beautiful we have rescued this year. These babies are dalmation/lab crosses. They all have wonderful shiny coats and gorgeous expressive eyes. They have all been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered. At four and a half months, they weigh an average of 30 pounds. Is your family looking for a near perfect family dog? Biscuit may your girl. She’s cute as can be, loving and dog friendly. She does well with children of all sizes. Biscuit is potty trained and loves to ride in a car. She is a little overly interested in the cat that lives in her foster home, more to chase than hurt, but would require some training in that area. Otherwise, this gal knows how to sit and shake hands and at 8 months of age is still a puppy that will fit well into a new home.
