Please sign a petition to help stop the sale of rabbits at Petland. Rabbits are inexpensive impulse buys who end up dumped outside, taken to a shelter, or put on wait lists of rabbit rescues (who are inundated with surrender calls every single day). And just like with the dogs sold at Petland, their rabbits come from mills that churn out babies at the lowest cost to the company and to the detriment of the animals involved. Once a puppy has learned something it’s not the end of teaching. You must continue in the real world to build their confidence and trust in you being their benevolent leader. Slacking off especially during adolescence will destroy all you taught as a puppy. Please don’t take them for granted. They still need your praise as a reminder and watch your relationship grow deeper than you could have ever imagined. Adolescence is when most dogs are relinquished to shelters. Stay connected and keep teaching/rewarding with praise , food, games, whatever motivates your pup. Enjoy the ride. You only get one chance at

Please join me in helping Florida's East Coast Rabbit Rescue in their dedicated efforts to save domestic rabbits running loose (and unwanted by many residents) in Fort Lauderdale. As ECRR carefully and humanely gather the rabbits, they are taken out of the heat (these rabbits are not wild and built for this weather), are kept in their respective bonded groups, and given much needed medical care. The rabbits will be spayed and neutered and placed for adoption once they are nursed back to health. This is a BIG (and expensive) job! Please help these underbuns if you can. Thank you!

Grayson is eating his daily portion of pellets in a food puzzle. This is a great form of enrichment because he gets to forage as he would if he was a wild rabbit. Rabbits need to use their brains to make life interesting and rewarding, just like all of our companion animals!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for cats!

This is amazing! Everyone at The Humane Society of Broward County loves Macarena. They even danced for her! Please share this and consider fostering or adopting this wonderful dog!!

Macarena aka Rena is so gentle taking treats! She went back to The Humane Society of Broward County (where everyone was excited to see her) on Monday. It’s strange not having her here!

My client sent this to me—her daughter lives in Portugal and this is where her dog stays when she goes on vacation: a turnip farm! Pretty incredible!

Macarena is learning Sit, Watch (eye contact), Stay and the hand target (Touch). She’s a smart and happy girl!

It’s always fun to watch dogs problem solve. Macarena swims to her toy. Macarena is in need of a foster or forever home. She is a sweet, 2-year-old girl who is very gentle, but she gets overexcited when playing sometimes, so it’s best if there are no young children. She doesn’t do well with rabbits or cats. She is sometimes anxious around other dogs, so we’d do a dog meet if you have a dog. Dm me or call The Humane Society of Broward County at 954.989.3977 if you’d like to know more about her!

Look everyone, Macarena is a swimmer! I took her to a friend’s house yesterday to smell new smells and she decided to take a dip! Macarena is in need of a foster or forever home with no cats (dog meet required). DM me or call The Humane Society of Broward County at 954.989.3977.

Macarena loves toys and keeps herself busy—even when I’m taking a break. She adores the Jolly Ball, tennis balls, food toys and—her new fave—coconuts. DM me if you’d like to learn more about her and consider her for adoption or foster!

Macarena is so good about going into her crate when I leave the house and to sleep at night! She is looking for her forever home OR a foster family. She isn’t happy in the kennel at The Humane Society of Broward County, as she gets stressed at cleaning time and when the other dogs bark. She is staying with me right now so we can learn about her personality and what type of home would be best for her.
