In case you missed it… our Good Karma Pet Adoption Center shelter in Pompano Beach has officially CLOSED!

We closed our doors almost two months ago after moving all the cats & dogs out (they either went to foster homes or transferred to other rescues/shelters - all are SAFE!)

This little building served us well over the last two years but sadly the donations & sponsorships dwindled after the first year open 🥲 We tried our hardest with multiple fundraisers to bring in more money but when your monthly operating costs average at $20K, that’s a large amount of money to shell out every month when you’re a Rescue who runs solely on donations ☹️

We are very proud at what we accomplished during our time with the GKPAC location. We had 356 cats & 197 dogs adopted out from this little building! We hosted multiple free vaccine clinics, group dog training classes, & adoption events there. A lot of good things happened thanks to that building 🧡

We’d like to thank Broward County Animal Care for giving us the opportunity to utilize this building. They will be taking the building back and deciding on how to move forward with it so follow their page for more updates on that.

As for the rest of our rescue, we are STILL OPERATING as a 100% foster based rescue. We are still taking in dogs & cats when we are able to (thanks to our amazing fosters)!

Yesterday, Ellie & Tess left our facility to head north to Port St Lucie, FL as they were accepted at Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center 🥹 We are SOOO grateful that Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center was willing to take them in and give them a chance at their facility ❤️ Please go like & follow their page to show them support!

🌟 GKPAC DOGGY UPDATE: Piper & Cash 🌟

As most of you know, we sadly have to close our Good Karma Pet Adoption Center in Pompano due to lack of funding & sponsorships 💔 We’ve been working on getting all of the cats & dogs moved into foster homes or other rescues that are willing to help us.

This past weekend, Piper & Cash left our facility to the west cost of Florida as they were accepted at Humane Society Naples 🥹 We are extremely grateful that Humane Society Naples was willing to take 2 more of our GKPAC dogs ❤️ Our lovely volunteers who drove Piper & Cash over also got to check in on Guava and Taz Rico and said they are doing great! 🫶🏼

ROWDY HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🥳

Rowdy came to us from Broward County Animal Care in September 2022. He was a volunteer favorite at Good Karma Pet Adoption Center and such a good dog… we honestly don’t know why he was overlooked for a whole year 🙁

Since our shelter is closing, our fosters Tiffany & Sam took Rowdy home to foster him… and turned into Foster Fails 🥰 They decided Rowdy was already home since he fit right in with their other animals 🥹

We are SOOO happy for Tiffany, Sam, & Rowdy (who’s new name is PORKCHOP 😍) Thank you for being such amazing fosters & volunteers! ❤️

🆘‼️ FOSTER NEEDED ASAP ‼️🆘

This is Ellie. Ellie was adopted from Good Karma Pet Adoption Center back in May. Now Ellie is back at PAC, abandoned by her owners, tied to our gate.

Ellie is dog selective (good with proper intro), cats, and kids. She is a great dog. 2.5 years old, 55lbs Lab mix.

She is our 4th big dog return within the last 3 weeks. WE NEED FOSTERS TO STEP UP PLEASE!!! 😩 Our other 3 big dog returns don’t have fosters either.

We cannot help anymore dogs until these GK returns get fosters. We always take back our animals when we have available fosters but right now, we have NO ONE.

While we've been celebrating finding Foster/Forever Homes for some of our dogs, we still have a LONG way to go. We need you more than ever before, as the dogs left behind at the Good Karma Pet Adoption Center are looking for compassionate heroes ❤️

These resilient dogs have been subjected to unending letdowns by humans they once put their trust in. Asking them to readily embrace new bonds with strangers seems almost unfair given their histories. For some, the concept of a home remains foreign, the warmth of a caring family is an unattainable dream, and the chance to revive their shattered confidence is an opportunity they've been denied. The scars of physical and emotional torment are not easily forgotten to them. Yet, in the face of it all, they are begging for a shot at a life they truly deserve 🥺

We understand that not everyone is equipped to accept such an endeavor. So now we are asking everyone to SPREAD THE WORD about these dogs to every animal lover you know, no matter their location 🙏🏼 We are committed to finding a way to make it work! Our staff and volunteers have witnessed their amazing progress and we are positive they will continue to build confidence in a loving home.

Adopting or fostering one of these dogs will undoubtedly change the course of their entire lives! Their transformation from wary and wounded souls to beloved companions will be like nothing you’ve ever seen before. It may not always be easy, but we are certain the rewards of witnessing their new found joy and building an unbreakable bond will far outweigh any challenges!

🆘 FOSTERS OR ADOPTERS URGENTLY NEEDED 🆘

The Good Karma Pet Adoption Center is being used as a very expensive boarding facility for a handful of dogs. The sooner we can get these dogs placed, the sooner we wrap up operations & use the funds to continue saving animals.

We have 8 dogs left at the facility that desperately need fosters, or better yet, adopters.

These are all GOOD DOGS!! They have been failed by humans in the past and they just aren’t sure who they can trust. After a little patience, they have all transformed into loving pups with huge personalities!! Please please please give our doggies a chance ❤️

❌ No cats & no small kids (he’ll knock them down by accident)
🐷 He is a piggy in a dog’s body, tends to snort a lot

Rowdy is a super fun boy who loves to play and get affection. He gets so happy to see the people he loves, his whole body wiggles 🥰 He has such a great personality! He would love to snuggle in bed all night long and be by your side the whole day! ❤️

Cash… a big handsome goofball who’s been overlooked by adopters since July 2022 🥺 A whole year and not one application or meet & greet for him!

Yes, we know Cash is big… weighing in at about 68lbs but that just means more dog to love on! 🥰 He is about 3 years old and such a good boy. He prefers women over men (both humans and other dogs) but that’s okay… we all have our own preferences too! 😉 With time to warm up, he eventually comes around and will open up to everyone! ❤️

Cash loves to run around the yard and play with toys! He is well mannered & eager to please! 🐕 There has to be someone out there willing to give this big boy a forever home! 🙏🏼

Bandit is a year and a half year-old mixed breed. He came to the shelter as a stray with his baby mama and their three babies..

He is a great boy loves everybody. Good with dogs good with kids walks on a leash. Will give lots of kisses.

He came with a bad skin condition which they are working on as you see in the picture his fur is growing back. His skin is a little red still.

He is 35 pounds he got neutered this week. He is up-to-date on all vaccines and rabies and he is ready for adoption
