Bow Wow Thrift

“Luxury shopping at Thrift Store pricing”!

We are excited to announce Bow Wow Thrift, a (501c3), will open it’s doors to the public November 7th for your thrift shopping pleasure.

Our hours of operation are:
Monday -Friday 10 to 5.
Saturday- 9-5.

We are planning several exciting fundraiser events in the future. Check in with us often. You won’t want to miss out on the fun!

Our mission:
We are dedicated to support our Rescue Partners with their critical work of saving homeless dogs, vetting, other needs and, ultimately placed in a furever home. Proceeds from Bow Wow Thrift will ease their financial burden.

Hi! This is Faith. She is a 3 month old bully breed mix. She was involved in a hit-and-run and was left to die. She was then found and brought into Crystal Lake Animal Hospital where she was surrendered to us. She is in very critical condition and needs all the help she can get!! Anything will help!! She needs IMMEDIATE surgery! She is in intensive care.

Her injuries include but are not limited to:
- bleeding from the mouth and nose
- Broken jaw
- Cannot eat or drink
- Severe respiratory distress
- Possible cracked skull

Please help Faith by donating to help pay for her surgery to save her life!

Hello everyone! Today we would like to take a moment and honor some special men and women of our community: the volunteers of Bow-Wow Resorts.

We are blessed to call them friends, though truly we think of them as family. They selflessly sacrifice their time to help ease the devastating journey all dogs of rescue must endure and enrich the time they spend in limbo due to foster shortages and lack of available homes.

Please help us acknowledge these exceptional human beings and Thank You, from the bottom of our hearts. Truly, it takes a village.

‼️DIFFICULT CASE ALERT‼️
Morning Feature: Sterling, a senior male, of Doberman Rescue League

Some of you may remember Sterling featured in last years Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately, he is still with us having many hit and miss interests and lots of wishful offers.

Sterling is the senior darling of Bow-Wow Resorts, chasing staff around after being leashed and before his walks to solicit hugs and pets. He has a lady killer smile, a distinct deep and smokey voice, and bright gem eyes that slay all the staff and has won him his own stash of special treats.

Sterling has severe hip issues, showing no sign of discomfort but a gradual increase of weakness in his rear legs that may eventually require a wheelchair. He loves hip masages, his special blankie, walks on the sidewalk, and jerky treats. He is still beaming with life and has waited patiently for his forever home.

Sterling is gentle and dashing with all people, he is our true Novice dog, but a grouch with other dogs and we don't blame him! A calm atmosphere would be preferred where he can retire in peace and comfort.

We're so proud of Jett! When he first came to us after being surrendered, he was just unavailable in every way, not warming up to anyone. Respecting his need for time, space and slowly building rapport (treats help also 😉), he has come such a long way to the affectionate snuggle bug he is today! This handsome boy is house trained, keeps a clean kennel, knows basic commands and is good with cats and female dogs. He is calm when nothing is going on and rambunctious when it's outside time. Not to mention what a handsome boy he is. 😘 We affectionately call him "Jetson" and "Batman" dog.

To our dear friends,

After 13 incredible years of serving our community, Bow-Wow Resorts is closing its doors. Our last day will be June 30th, 2022.

We want to thank each and every one of you for your support, your love, your kindness. It has been a pleasure working side by side with the best of the best of our rescue community. We are deeply humbled and forever grateful for having been given this opportunity.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to either Donna or myself. We will still be open for business and accepting dogs, so long as there is a plan in place for those babies to be at their next destination by June 25th, 2022.

It has genuinely been an honor.

Bow-Wow Resorts is proud to announce that Savanna, our dedicated and hard-working employee of over 3 years, has decided to pursue a career in dog training and accepted a position as an apprentice with a reputable Fort Lauderdale based company! Anyone who has met Savanna knows that we and the dogs are lucky to have her. She has expressed her intention to perform pro-bono work for our partners in the future.

We appreciate everyones patience as we will be experiencing a transition in staff and may be temporarily short handed at certain times of the day. During this time, we also ask that all of our partners and volunteers please adhere strictly to volunteer hours and business pick-up/drop off times. No exceptions.

Thank you to all of our friends, family, partners and clients for your ongoing support, generous donations that benefit our community, and helping us continue our mission.

Today at Bow-Wow Resorts:

All through the year, vital medications are donated to Bow-Wow Resorts, from former fosters to parents who, unfortunately, recently lost their fur babies. We work diligently to spread these much needed life-savers throughout our local community where they are needed the most, from rescues to private families who have pups in need.

This group of young Bow-Wow Resorts friends and family decided to bring the gift of Christmas Spirit to Amanda with a group effort homemade craft to say thank you as recipients of our work.

Event Organizer
Covid policy: Everyone entering must show proof of vaccination or negative covid test. Tests will be provided if needed either at the health check tent at the galleria mall parking lot, or the B Ocean hotel that is across from the site. These are a rapid test and of no cost to you. Or you can go to a local pharmacy of your choice for free test 72 hour prior to the event (shift). This will help you skip the line on the day of the event.

Today at Bow-Wow:

The Dog. The Legend. Thor, the Gator Wrestler. 🐊💥

Adopted out of Tri-County Humane Society, Thor once left a canine in a gator as a reminder of what happens when you mess with 55lbs of warrior that's rescue strong. 💪

His adopter, Shannon, said the only people Thor likes better than his veteran, equally tough Dad is the staff at Bow-Wow Resorts. A compliment that makes our tails wag! 🐕

We're thrilled to have Thor visiting with us again. Welcome Back!
