Scooping your cat’s litter box multiple times a day isn’t just about cleanliness—it’s a crucial health monitoring tool. Many cat parents miss the opportunity to detect early signs of medical issues simply because they don’t maintain a consistent scooping routine.

Changes in your cat’s elimination habits, waste appearance, or frequency can be early indicators of health concerns. When visiting the veterinarian, one of the first questions asked will be about any changes in litter box behavior. Without regular scooping, you may not notice these important signs, making it harder to provide valuable information that could aid in early diagnosis.

Stay proactive—your cat’s well-being depends on it!

Rachel and Felix are definitely cat friendly. As in they don’t fight. That’s a good thing!! 👍😺

It’s tempting to give your beloved cat a treat of human food, but many of the things we enjoy are off-limits for our feline friends, including:
Grapes
Onions
Raisins
Avocados
Anything containing xylitol, an artificial sweetener
Chocolate

Clarice is so lovely. This is a picture of her only, though we’d like one of her kittens, Hermie, to go with her. 😺

Look at these 2! Sisters came to us as strays, about 1-2 years old. They are super friendly and do NOT need to be adopted together. They will be going for vet visits soon, and will then be available. But you can come meet them and pick them up and get purrs and hugs! 😺

Did you know cats have a second "nose"? 🐾👃

It’s called the Jacobson's organ (or vomeronasal organ, if you want to sound fancy), and it’s located on the roof of their mouth. Cats use it to "smell" things in a whole different way—kind of like a built-in chemical detector! When your kitty pauses to open their mouth slightly after sniffing something (called the Flehmen response), they’re analyzing pheromones and other scents.

Basically, your cat’s out here being a tiny scientist, sniffing for secrets in the air. 🔬😺
