2023 YEAR'S END DEVOTIONAL::
AT THE CLOSE OF ANOTHER YEAR
WE FIND AS TODAY DECEMBER 31 DID BEGIN, WE KNOW THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2023 WILL SOON COME TO AN END. SO MANY WE THOUGHT WOULD STILL BE HERE ARE NOW GONE FROM THIS EARTHLY SPHERE. NOT BECAUSE THEY DID ANYTHING WRONG, IT'S JUST THAT FOR SOME IT WAS TIME FOR THEM TO GO HOME. FOR OTHERS IS WAS THAT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENS TO US ALL THAT DEATH'S VOICE MADE THE CALL. THOUGH MANY HEARTS ARE BROKEN AT THIS TIME WE MUST DEFINITELY KEEP IN MIND UNTIL THE CLOCK STRIKES JANUARY 1, 2024, IT JUST COULD BE OUR TIME TO GO. AS ALL THREE WERE DYING ONE OF THE THIEVES RECOGNIZED JESUS ON THE CROSS, THEN REALIZING WITHOUT JESUS HIS SOUL WOULD BE LOST. FOR RIGHT THEN THE DECISION THAT THIEF MADE WAS SO VERY WISE, THEN JESUS LOVINGLY TO HIM REPLIED "THIS DAY THOU SHALT BE WITH ME IN PARADISE". THEREFORE I PRAY WE ALL COME TO REALIZE THAT OF OURSELVES WE CAN NEVER GET IT RIGHT. WE NEED ALSO REPENT OF OUR SINS BEFORE THIS YEAR 2023 COMES TO AN END. FOR THOUGH THE LORD GOD JEHOVAH HAS NUMBERED OUR DAYS AND ACCORDING TO JEREMIAH 29:11 A PLAN FOR EACH OF US HE HAS LAID. BUT YET STILL WITH EACH INDIVIDUAL THERE'S A PERSONAL DECISION THAT MUST BE MADE. FOR TODAY DECEMBER 31, 2023, IS THE DAY OF YOUR SALVATION TO MAKE JESUS THE SAVIOUR AND LORD OF YOUR LIFE. PLEASE RECOGNIZE AS DID THE THIEF ON THE CROSS YOUR NEED FOR JESUS BEFORE YOUR LONG GOODNIGHT. WAY TOO OFTEN WE ARE GIVEN TO FEEL FROM A GRAVE MISUNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE SOME WHO ARE GREATER IN THE BODY OF CHRIST THAN OTHERS. BUT IF YOU ARE BORN OF THE HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT OF GOD THROUGH CHRIST JESUS, THEN YOU ARE EQUAL IN THAT BIRTH. BUT THERE ARE THOSE TO WHOM MUST HAS BEEN THEN THEREFORE MUCH IS REQUIRED. FOR WE AS MINISTERS OF THIS GLORIOUS GOSPEL CAN DO NOTHING OF OURSELVES, IT IS ONLY THROUGH THE SUFFICIENCY OF THE LORD GOD JEHOVAH THAT OUR SUFFICIENCY IS PERFECTED FOR THE MINISTRY IN WHICH WE HAVE BEEN MADE WORKMEN IN. FOR OUR COVENANT WITH THE LORD JESUS IS A SPIRITUAL COVENANT WRITTEN ON THE TABLES OF OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT. THERE WAS NOTHING OF OURSELVES THAT BROUGHT ABOUT THIS COVENANT SAVE OUR LORD JESUS HIMSELF IN WHILE WE WERE YET SINNER HE GAVE HIMSELF AS A SACRIFICE UNTO DEATH AND DIED IN THAT WE MIGHT LIVE. FOR THOUGH SOME FEEL LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATIONS ARE NEEDED IN THE SPREADING OF THIS GLORIOUS GOSPEL, BE NOT HINDERED FOR YOU ARE, IF YOU HAVE BEEN SEALED BY THE SPIRIT AND WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS, ALREADY QUALIFIED TO BE HIS WITNESS IN THE EARTH TO TESTIFY OF THE GOOD OF THE LORD GOD JEHOVAH AND TO PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. I HAD TO SHARE THE FACT THAT GOD'S VALIDATION OF WHO WE ARE AND THE GIFTS HE HAS ADMINISTERED EACH IF US IN THE BODY OF CHRIST HAS BEEN WELL FITTED TOGETHER FOR THE BUILDING OF HIS KINGDOM AND THE PERFECTING OF THE CHURCH. No one should feel superior about his or her gifts; instead, all should use their gifts to willingly serve. A SIMPLE THOUGHT TO PONDER::
FAR TOO MANY OF US ARE CRYING OVER TOO MANY TRIVIAL THINGS, WHEN THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO'S MINDS ARE BOGGLED WITH SUCH DEEP DESPAIR AND HEARTS ARE UTTERLY, SEEMINGLY BROKEN BEYOND REPAIR. SO MANY AGAIN ARE NOW HAVING TO BEAR THE WEIGHT OF UNBELIEVABLE, TRAUMATIC AND DEVASTATING LIFE STRUGGLES. THE BODY OF CHRIST, RATHER PEOPLE IN GENERAL, Y'ALL WE NEED TO HELP THEM FIND JOY AS THEY GO THROUGH THEIR PAIN AND LAUGHTER BEYOND IT. THE CRY NOR THE CRYING WILL EVER CEASE IN THIS WORLD, BUT WE CAN OFFER THEM SWEET RELIEF UNTIL CHRIST JESUS RETURNS, BECAUSE WHAT WE CAN'T DO THE LORD JESUS AND JEHOVAH-GOD CAN. So important to share ……

DEPRESSION TIPS:

Shower. Not a bath, a shower.
Use water as hot or cold as you like. You don’t even need to wash. Just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. Sit on the floor if you gotta.

Moisturize everything.
Use whatever lotion you like.
Unscented? Dollar store lotion? Fancy 48 hour lotion that makes you smell like a field of wildflowers? Use whatever you want, and use it all over your entire dermis.

Put on clean, comfortable clothes.

Put on your favorite underwear.
Those ridiculous boxers you bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? Put them on.

Drink cold water.
Use ice. If you want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

Clean something.
Doesn’t have to be anything big. Organize one drawer of a desk. Wash five dirty dishes. Do a load of laundry. Scrub the bathroom sink.

Blast music.
Listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. Sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

Make food.
Don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. Take the time and make food. Even if it’s ramen. Add something special to it, like a soft boiled egg or some veggies. Prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

Make something.
Write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. Even if you don’t think you’re good at it. Create.

Go outside.
Take a walk. Sit in the grass. Look at the clouds. Smell flowers. Put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

Call someone.
Call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. Talk to a stranger on the street. Have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. If you can’t bring yourself to call, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. Even if you don’t say much, listen to them. It helps.

Cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them.
Take pictures of them. Talk to them. Tell them how you feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out, anything.

May seem small or silly to some, but this list keeps people alive.

*** At your absolute best you won’t be good enough for the wrong people. But at your worst, you’ll still be worth it to the right ones. Remember that. Keep holding on.

*** In case nobody has told you today I love you and you are worth your weight and then some in gold, so be kind to yourself and most of all keep pushing on!!!!
