"Dear Diary,

Today was the BEST DAY EVER - Again! I rolled in the grass, chased a butterfly, and even found a stick that was almost as big as me (but I totally showed it who’s boss).🤨 But then it hit me... summer’s almost over. *GASP!*😩 How will I survive without my daily swims, mud puddle jumps, and all the belly rubs I get from being the best, muddiest boy in the world?🌎

Oh, and speaking of mud, you should have seen the look on mom and dad's faces when I ran into the house today, dripping wet, with my finest collection of summer muddy paws all over me. They tried to stop me at the door, but I was too quick – ninja level. I think they secretly love the muddy paw prints on the carpet. It’s like modern art, but more... natural!🎨🐾

But what will I do when the leaves start falling? When the sun goes to bed early and the grass isn’t warm under my paws anymore? How will I survive without my daily dose of rolling in the dirt and then sitting on the white couch?😭

I’m not ready for summer to end, Diary. I’m already planning how to make the most of every last second. More rolling, more swimming, more sneaking into the house before mom or dad can grab the towel. 🐾 Scent Marking: Rolling on different surfaces allows dogs to pick up or leave scents. In the wild, rolling in different smells helps them blend into their environment or disguise their own scent from prey or other animals. But for our domesticated pets, rolling onto something "foul smelling" is just too tempting!🤦‍♀️🐶😂
