🐾💙 Dodger Found His Forever Family! 💙🐾

Dodger came to MARL in February 2024 after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Adjusting to life at the shelter took time—he needed lots of TLC to learn that it was okay to trust again.

As the months passed, Dodger waited patiently for his perfect match. In March, he went into foster through our Pawsitively Sure Trial Adoption Program—a great fit for a dog whose true personality didn’t always shine during meet and greets.

Thanks to this incredible program, proudly sponsored by Robin Wright & Kim Hurley, Dodger’s future family had the chance to get to know him in a low-pressure environment—and it paid off. After just a few weeks in their home, Dodger settled in beautifully, his personality started to shine, and his foster family made it official! 🏡

We’re overjoyed to share that Dodger is finally home. His journey is a true testament to the power of patience, love, and how the quality of the wait makes all the difference for the future of an animal.

"I adopted Tux because I felt no 20-year-old dog should be without a home. As it has turned out, he has been a magical addition. Days are smoother, calmer, and happier with Tux in the mix." 🐾 -Elli, proud parent of MARL alumnus, Tux.

Tux’s journey wasn’t easy. He was transferred to MARL from another shelter after shutting down in their program. With time, patience, and the support of our team, he slowly came out of his shell—spending his days in the office, learning to trust, and gaining confidence. Thanks to a dedicated foster, he continued to blossom until he was finally ready for adoption.

Now, Tux is where he belongs—in a loving home, surrounded by care and comfort in his golden years. 💙

Meet Mayo! 🐾 This handsome boy is ready for a fresh start and can't wait to find his forever home! Mayo arrived at MARL with seven other huskies in need of support, and now, he’s eager to meet his perfect match.

This 2-year-old Male, Alaskan Malamute/Husky mix is 80 pounds of pure sweetness. With his well-mannered nature and friendly personality, he gets along wonderfully with both people and other animals. Whether he’s enjoying a leisurely walk, soaking up attention, or simply lounging by your side, Mayo just loves being part of the moment!
