I hope everyone is staying safe and dry out there with storm debbie making her way towards us and continue dumping buckets in the coming days 💨⛈️ As of now we are still operating at our normal hours but will keep everybody updated if the weather progresses and we decide to reschedule to a safer date. Please please for the love of all things take care of your animals during this storm!!!

With TS Debby approaching, please be mindful of outdoor animals. Bring them in, take them with you or move them out of flood prone areas. Please make sure enclosures are secure, their collars ID tags and microchips are up-to-date. When you are picking up your snacks make sure you have food for your pet as well. 🍰 🦴

Their safety is your responsibility. If you find yourself missing a pet you can text a picture and description to our text line 803-272-8410. 🐶 🐱 🐾

I’ll be at another event coming up and doing half priced baths and nail trims! Adoptions will be half priced and there will be tons of beautiful, adoptable dogs looking for forever homes! They will also be offering microchipping for only $15. If your pet isn’t microchipped now is the best time to do it before the 4th of July as it’s a very scary time for many animals and so many pets become strays. I look forward to seeing you all and your furry better half’s! It will be a day full of fun and you can enjoy a nice hotdog and cold drink while you wait for your pup to be pampered 🤩

Don't forget - TODAY IS THE DAY! The mobile vet clinic will be rolling into the Lancaster County Animal Shelter SC from 10am-noon. No appointment needed. Get your pets vaccinated and microchipped!!

Nash, my ginormous boy, requires more than just one post to showcase his massiveness! Turns out, he's still growing and now we need a basketball court-sized table to fit both of us 😂🤣 Hes made it tradition that the first 10 minutes of our day are dedicated to playtime and searching for objects that resemble toys for him to chomp on 🦷🎾

**😭WARNING - GRAPHIC IMAGES*** Incoming medical case. Lobo was surrendered to our vet with a horrendous injury to his leg that occurred a few weeks ago. They thought they had it under control but it got infected and now will require an amputation. It's very painful and we cannot let him suffer. Of course, LSPCA agreed to help this sweet boy. Right now he's on pain meds and antibiotics and his surgery is scheduled for later this week at an estimated cost of $800. Added to the cost of vaccines, neuter, before-care and aftercare, the total will be about $1600! If you can help toward Lobo's expenses, it would be appreciated. We will find a medical foster for him when his surgery is completed. In the meantime, he is in excellent hands with Faulkner Animal Hospital. Thank you to our village for your support of our mission to advocate for those who do not have a voice. We promise to keep you updated as we know more.

Our very first Tails and Trails event was nothing short of amazing! 🥰 We were delighted to meet so many friendly people and help some shy animals come out of their shells! We’re incredibly grateful to Lancaster SPCA of South Carolina, Lancaster County Animal Shelter SC and their hardworking staff and volunteers for putting in so much effort and giving us the opportunity to showcase our skills. We can't wait to attend more events in the future and see all the familiar faces again! Thank you all for believing in us and our ability to care for your furry babies 🩷🐶
