Happy Tails!

Lynn recently adopted KJ from us and wanted to share an update on how he is doing in his forever home.

"We adopted KJ (Karl Jim) a month ago and I just wanted to share an update. His new name is Rupert Giles and while he was scared at first, he has become so social and playful. Life brought us a kitten that was found in the bushes in our neighborhood and they have become the absolute best of friends. Giles now herds you to the food/Churu station or meows at you when he wants you to play with him. He’s incredibly gentle and sweet. He loves sitting in the window and watching birds and squirrels. We can’t imagine life without him!"

Happy Tails!

Vanilla Bean was adopted a few weeks ago and her new owner Erin, sent us this wonderful update on her.

“Vanilla Bean”, now named Leya! She loves her fur siblings and has loved her new home. She loves all of her toys and purrs as soon as she gets held. She has a bright personality and is often running around the house getting her energy out."

This is a new feature that we are showcasing in which we ask both employees and volunteers to pick their current shelter favorites and tell us what they love about them in hopes of finding them loving homes.

Today’s feature is from Jillian Mizak, who is a volunteer here at the shelter.
Jillian's pick is Oleta, who is looking for a loving home.

Jillian had this to say about Oleta.

"Oleta is the most deserving of a forever home! She has been in the shelter for most of her life, so she is still learning manners - but we see all her potential, and she is very food motivated and wants to please. In the few short days we have had her, she is mastering the “down” command. She already knows sit, shake, and beg!
She is learning to play with toys and loves to roll and gets the zoomies in the backyard."

"Cupcake is the perfect dog for someone who wants a dog that loves walks as much as cuddling on the couch. She will roll over for tummy rubs and loves exploring the outdoors on her walks.
Cupcake prefers to be the only pet, but don’t let that stop you- she is friendly with everyone she meets and social and would make a great addition to a home that can give her the attention she deserves."
