If you become aware of Animals who are victims of abuse or neglect - make the call. Report Animal Abuse, Neglect or Animals in Distress

If you suspect an animal is being abused or neglected, contact the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Task Force with the address (or detailed directions to location) where animal(s) can be found, and a detailed description of the neglect or abuse. Allegat

ions of physical abuse require a witness name and contact number. Such information will be treated as confidential by us unless the matter is turned over to law enforcement for investigation and/or prosecution or unless a subpoena or court order requires such disclosure.

Please keep an eye out for one of our adopted dogs who has gone missing in the Lake Wappapello area. His name is Aiden and his family misses him dearly.

Please message us if you have seen Aiden or have any information that could help get him home to his family.

I don't think anyone will disagree that 2025 has had it's share of challenges, but we still believe in the inherent good that is in the world. Fundraising has been extra hard this year. We still have hearts to save dogs and to help people in the process. We still believe in the magic of a helping hand. Thank you to everyone who supports us in any number of ways, but if you have an few extra dollars, we would also appreciate your donations for our rescue dogs.

If you are looking for a new best friend - please consider one of the really great dogs currently in our rescue. And if you have room in your home for a rescue dog as a foster, please reach out to us. We have two dogs in boarding who would love to be with a family over this holiday season. Fostering helps our dogs learn to live in a home and helps them be ready to find their forever family.

Thank you again for your hearts for these rescue dogs.

Come and see us and some adoptable dogs at Petco tomorrow from 10:00 am til 2:00 pm. We will have some baked goodies and some Christmas items to sell to help raise funds.

Come out to the MILLIE FEST across from the Black River Coliseum and meet Odin and help us raise funds for the rescue dogs. Odin is an adoptable Mastiff mix who is ready for his forever home.

Hearts for Rescue will be set up at the M.I.L.L.I.E. FEST this Saturday from 11 am - 5 pm. We will have some of our adoptable dogs with us as well as goodies to sell. Come out and meet a pup! You might just find your new best friend. ❤️
