❗️This is a courtesy post ❗️ This beautiful quarter horse gelding is located in South Carolina and was pulled from a kill pen. He is around 15 hands and is aged between 15-17. The owner is trying to find a safe home for him as he was pulled from a kill pen, however, needs a lot of work to be handled. He is extremely nervous and scared. He did just get his Coggins and shots, but due to his behavior they have not been able to get his feet or teeth done. He also has a swollen back hock. The owners are looking for him to find a safe home so he does not end up back in a kill pen…and they are not able to work with him safely. Someone with lots of experience or a sanctuary would be best. We are currently seeking a forever home for a 6-8 year old morgan cross (approximately 14'1 hands) former Amish cart horse that has ringbone in his front right foot. We rescued him from a kill pen and upon rescue was full of scarring from what we believe to be from a cart/harness. We have learned that he absolutely LOVES children and we equate him to having a puppy dog personality. He will literally follow you around like a puppy. He wants to be caught and loved on. Whiskey is an extremely easy keeper and one of the most loving horses that we have had on the farm. Grooming, hugs, and treats…are all of his favorites! He is also a great companion to other horses. He loves his friends! He is up to date on everything including his teeth. He is great for the vet and has no problems getting his feet trimmed. Due to his ringbone and former life, Whiskey needs a soft landing with a forever loving family or sanctuary. We believe that any horse that has worked at that capacity deserves a home that wants to provide all of the love in the world.
