🎆🐾 Fireworks & Pets: Keep Them Safe This Season! 🐾🎆

As we celebrate with fireworks, let’s not forget our furry family members. Loud noises and bright flashes can be terrifying for pets and may even cause them to run away or get injured. Here are a few tips to help keep them safe:

✅ Keep pets indoors – even if they’re used to being outside.
✅ Create a safe space with their favorite bed, toys, and calming music.
✅ Make sure ID tags & microchips are up to date – just in case they escape.
✅ Avoid bringing pets to fireworks displays – they’re much happier at home.
✅ Speak to your vet about calming options if your pet has severe anxiety.

As temperatures climb, please remember: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them. 🐾☀️

🔥 Heat Dangers for Pets Include:

Heatstroke: Dogs and cats can overheat quickly, especially brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds.

Burned paws: Pavement can reach 130°F+ in direct sun—enough to cause burns in seconds.

Dehydration: Pets need constant access to fresh, cool water.

🐶 NEVER leave pets in parked cars, even with the windows cracked. Interior temps can soar to deadly levels within minutes.

✅ Tips to Keep Pets Safe:

Walk pets early morning or evening when it's cooler.

Stick to grass or shaded areas—test pavement with your hand!

Provide shade and lots of water if they're outside.

Know the signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting.
