Nail trimming, vaccines, and flea treatment are some of the additional services we offer at low cost during your pet's spay/neuter appointment. These services can be requested upon check in. Kitty in picture is receiving her flea medication, vaccines, and nail trim (post-surgery).
As a reminder, all dogs, cats, and ferrets in Washington State are required by law to have up-to-date rabies vaccinations.

Important info regarding microchips!
If your pet is microchipped, you must register the chip online. If you do not register the microchip, then it is not as useful and it can be difficult to reunite a pet with their owner. The process is very easy, just go online and create an account then register each animal that has a microchip. It is Free (it will ask if you want to purchase a plan of some kind but it's not necessary... you can do it for free). If you got your microchip at Spay to Save, you can visit homeagain.com and enroll your pet. A reminder to please update your address if you move or your contact info if your phone number changes. Keeping their microchips updated with your most current information is necessary to keep them safe.

Microchips are safe, permanent, and provide a reliable way to identify a pet if it is lost or stolen. Microchips are valuable even if your cat is indoors-only because accidents happen and if they do slip out, they can become lost and may not be wearing a collar or tag.

You have the option to request and purchase a microchip when you bring your cat or dog in to Spay to Save for their spay/neuter appointment.

Picture: This kitty is being scanned to confirm the microchip she just received!

UPDATE: the June 5 clinic is full. Call Kate at 360-477-0574 to learn about future clinics and get on our list.

We’ve still got spots at our cat clinic this Saturday June 5 — plus: we’ve got a sponsor! It's a FREE clinic! Details:
Cat clinic on June 5! It's a small clinic: we can only take 15 cats (no dogs this time, sorry). We'll be out near Freshwater Bay; that's west of Port Angeles, off Hwy. 112, nearly to Joyce. There's no nearby bus service. It's next Saturday, June 5; cats need to arrive around 7:45 a.m., and will be ready for you to take home by 4 that afternoon.
If all this works for you, call Kate at 360-477-0574 for an appointment. Thanks!

We like male cats so much that if you bring yours to our clinic this Saturday (5/29/2021) we will neuter him FOR FREE! Call Kate at 360-477-0574; she'll be happy to give you an appointment.

We've still got some space in this Saturday's clinic — there's even room for a couple of dogs! This is very probably our last clinic until July, so call Kate at 360-477-0574.
Share this around locally, if you will. Thanks!

Oh no! The transmission is out on the spay/neuter van, so the van can't be moved. Rather than cancel our clinics, we're moving the clinic to the van. If you've got an appointment for this Saturday May 22, or Saturday May 29, you'll be getting a call from Kate tomorrow with directions to the new location.
I can promise you that this is nobody's idea of fun, but it should work out just fine. And, it's way better than canceling the clinic.
If you don't get a call tomorrow, call Kate at 360-477-0574. Keep your phones turned on! (Of course, I'll leave a message if I don't reach you.)

Update from Spay to Save:
Our clinics are still on hold until we can safely operate again. If you are already on our clinic list, I will contact you when we are operating and have openings. If you wish to be on our list, please leave a message for Nancy at

Please, let your cat's kittens stay with her for AT LEAST eight weeks before you rehome them. And, it's far better to have two go to the same new home than to have one go alone. And: get mamma fixed. It's been a long wait, but we'll be up and running as soon as possible!
