Well folks it’s that time of the month! Pawsitive Animal Impact Rescue is conducting its monthly large spay and neuter clinic at Fox-Bell Weddings and Events on N Barr Rd in Port Angeles this weekend!

We are currently waiting on responses from 58 individuals who have signed up for our spay & neuter clinics. ( If you have signed up for spay and neuter services please check your voicemails and emails )

We have also had another local veterinarian offer to come in on Sunday so we have even more availability for pets to be seen this Sunday!

In heat dogs
Brachycephalic pets
Dogs aged 8 years +

^ These pets are done in smaller hospital settings only.

Cat Owners!

Although bird flu viruses mainly infect and spread among wild migratory water birds and domestic poultry, some bird flu viruses can infect and spread to other animals. When cats eat birds that are infected with the bird flu, it is often lethal, same with the raw milk because they can contain the live bird flu virus. Reduce the chances of your cat/s contacting bird flu by giving them pasteurized milk and fully cooked food.

Hey folks, Nicole here!

What can I say guys… I was in tears today ( ugly cry tears ) when I checked my phone and saw all of the messages pouring in from people and rescues all over the PNW wishing me Happy Birthday.

For those who don’t know I spent my birthday yesterday helping our Dr in Forks at a mini pop up spay and neuter clinic! We were able to neuter 3 dogs, spay one female dog, neuter 2 boy cats and spay 4 female cats. It wasn’t a lot but sometimes you just have to chip away little by little when you have the time.

We will hold our next clinic January 18th and 19th in Port Angeles at the Fox-Bell Weddings and Events Property on N Barr Rd. I can’t wait to see how many we can do that weekend!

I am truly thankful to each and every one of the people who reached out and wished me happy Birthday…

To those who donated today I would REALLY like to thank you for all your support for the animals. We are in need of some supplies right now to care for the kitties and this money will go to those expenses.

It takes a village… Today I felt the impact of our village…

Was up until 1:30am last night talking to Nicole from Pawsitive Animal Impact Rescue - PAIR (hahaha... never stay up that late) - But it makes me SO sad how many rescuers spend their birthdays alone. I truly wish that rescuers had a better support system. If you have any free time today, be sure to wish Nicole a "Happy 29th Birthday" (or donate a few dollars towards their rescue, they run such a small rescue and it makes loads of difference)

We spent a lot of time talking about "The Nose" - That handsome male cat from Yakima with the urinary blockage.... He, sadly, blocked again. 😢 Dr Pat was able to unblock him but he will need surgery. They will be doing a "Hail Mary" procedure to save his life this week. This boy is the sweetest, most special boy. It is upsetting that after all the horror in Yakima, his body just will not allow him to move forward.

We also talked about hopes and dreams for animals (Manifesting dreams, on a Thursday night with birthday magic)

Nicole dreams of an actual brick and mortar vet clinic for the animals of Port Angeles. Right now, their rescue uses the Foxbell Wedding venue for spay/neuter events, which is offered at no cost to their vet team and it is SUCH a beautiful space. But they, eventually, will need a clinic some day.

I dream of a small mobile clinic, where we do not have to pay for rent or utilities.... Just a bus with a vet or two, on a random Saturday, spaying/neutering animals. Nothing big. Nothing fancy. Working on spaying/neutering dogs/cats in our community.

I haven't jumped into that dream with both feet yet. But it is close. Real close.

Not sure how many of you practice manifesting hopes and dreams out-loud. But it is an important practice!!! It makes everything seem more attainable. Makes them take shape.

Happy Birthday Nicole 🎂 🙌 Thanks for helping this sweet guy. We are really rooting for him. We will be donating towards his surgery.

The shepherds have taken over!

And we’re not mad about it at all.

Lately, we’ve had a HUGE influx of young, really fabulous shepherds into our program. They are ALL so wonderful, and we want you to meet them.

Camryn - 2 year old shepherd mix with moderate energy who is as sweet as they come. Knows all sorts of fun stuff and is great with dogs and people.

Earl - 9 month old purebred German Shepherd (parents known). Lower energy but still loves to play. Good with dogs and people.

Livvy - 1 year old German Shepherd. Social butterfly. Loves toys, playing with other dogs, and scritches from her favorite people.

Lenny - 9 month old purebred German Shepherd. Shy and standoffish (there's not a mean bone in him - he just keeps his distance) until he knows you, but so, so sweet and so, so kind. Loves other dogs and is learning people aren’t so scary (we're working on it!).

Archie - BIG, goofy 1 year old German Shepherd. Great with people and other dogs. Obsessed with toys and will fetch for days.

We’ve had them all vetted, and spayed/neutered and they are ready for their forever homes.

If you’ve ever wanted to add a Shepherd, now’s the time. I’m not sure how we found the greatest shepherds in the area, but we did…and they are so excited to meet you.

Turns out not only are they willing to help us. We have a way to help them.

Because we have some of the most amazing adopters. People following us looking and waiting for that right puppy to come along.

PAIR has three puppies looking for a home. The works, fixed, vaccines on board.

I just received the information and I will be posting probably tomorrow.

Lab puppies.

I get almost a call a day looking for a lab puppy. So I'm expecting applications and adoptions going down this weekend. The dogs still need to be transported to us which we are working on now. So Adoptions will not be quick.

Fingers crossed we can take all the February dogs up at once or two loads and just knock out all the spays and neuters. Wouldn't that be awesome?
