Hello Everyone and welcome to the WEEKEND!

A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to Steven Gilbert for helping out today!.

Also, a thank you to Shayne Gilbert and Bretton Jones for helping me move furniture and organize for an upcoming antique sale. We also got the lighting working in the entire stairwell. No more flashlights! YAY!!

A special thanks to Carl Apley and Steve Vaughn for their help in supplying much needed equipment, as well.

Next project, THE ELEVATOR! So close to having a functioning elevator for future progress.

And finally, a huge thank you to all who support us and offer their services and labor to help our momentum towards our goal of opening an indoor community garden and food farm.

We look forward to serving the surrounding communities with fresh produce year round.

WE HAVE HEAT!!!

A huge thanks and shout out to Jason Talaski Plumbing and Heating of Bad Axe. He figure out that the furnace wasn't getting power on both lines so he switched the circuit breaker and the first floor furnace fired right up. The second floor still need a component but it fired up and will run as is until the parts arrive.

Highly recommend him!

MORE PROGRESS TODAY!

The entire stairwell is CLEAN!

3RD and 4TH Floor demolition is well on it's way.

AND for the first time since we've been here the roof drains are all connected! No more leaking roof!

Big shout out to Mary Gilbert (love you, Mom) for being an awesome parts and food runner for the crew.

Also, shout out to Jim Depatty for taking the time to salvage all the conduit and light fixtures for repurposing later. 3rd floor is almost done.

And finally, Kim Crickon for doing an awesome job cleaning the stairwell.

Thank you all so much for your help! We couldn't do it without you!

Power washed the stairwell and evicted the last of the pigeons.
Started demolishing the 3rd and 4th floors to make room for vertical grow pods.
Heading back tomorrow morning to finish up before the team from Otis Elevator comes on Tuesday. FINALLY WOO HOO!

Hello Everybody!

We have made leaps and bounds since our last post and will finally have some progress pics to post soon as well.

We have had our electrical system upgraded by Demand Electric. Thanks to Dan and Melanie for finding the most economical solution to a potentially costly repair.

Thanks to Carl Apley for making necessary plumbing repairs so our plumbing and bathrooms will finally work. LOL. 😳😷

TeJay and Jim DiPatty made quick work of removing the debris from the roof and helping patch the roof so we can finally keep the indoors dry. Steel roof is on the way!

Elevator techs are coming next week to finally repair and certify our elevator as well!

WE'RE MAKING PROGRESS! 🙂😁
