Law for Paws and Friends Law for Paws-Established in December 2015 by employees of the Port Barre Police Dept. in south Louisiana. Please check out our Amazon wish list.

We welcome everyone to join us in giving the dogs in our care a chance of better life by adoption & rescue. There is very little help for animals here. We do not have Animal Control in our town, police officers & other staff pick up stray dogs only. We are not an open intake facility, nor can we house or pick up cats. Thank you shout out to the BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell for their amazing program. With the services they provide, it plays a tremendous part on helping dogs like Roscoe, Jaxson And Lovey move on to a rescue or forever family.We are ao grateful for everything. ❤ also, thank you LaDonna Hawthorne and Terri Dushaw Ancelet for bringing them to have their spay and neuter done. We love you all ❤

Our hearts are so full today this is one of 2 post that you will love. Our man Scooby on his year anniversary of being homeless, he was tagged for rescue by Black list animal Rescue. We rejoyced and our hearts are so full. His time finally cane, his miracle and a chance at a family. We can not thank you enough Kelli Lanell she has placed seceral of our dogs with anazing families. Forever we will be greatful. And to LaDonna Hawthorne his beloved keeper who has kept him solid for a long time, we are forever greatful to you too. Thank you for bringing him to his freedom ride today.
We wish you all the love your heart can hold sweet boy. You will bring so much joy to your new family.

🔴How is it even possible, no one has came for her? It is a question we ask about almost every dog in our care..they sit.
This girl here.. lol she is not only beautiful but such a ham. ...snuggler and loves car rides...loves people and treats.

Meet Daisy, a homeless dog with a heart full of love and a spirit full of adventure. Despite her circumstances, Daisy's sweetness shines brighter than any diamond. She has a knack for making friends wherever she goes, her tail wagging a rhythm of joy that's contagious to all around her.

She love's riding around-There's something about the siren's song that thrills her, her ears perking up at the sound. She loves the feel of the wind rushing through her fur as the city speeds by, a world full of scents and sounds that keep her nose twitching and her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

But what Daisy loves most about these rides is the people. The officers, who share their lunch with her, who scratch behind her ears and make her feel like she belongs. Because for Daisy, home isn't a place. It's being surrounded by people who care, people who love her just as she is. And in their company, Daisy isn't a homeless dog. She's a queen, riding in her chariot, ruling over a kingdom of kindness and love.
