HWY 190 a good samaritan called reporting this poor baby was at their residence on a busy highway. Her name is now Ellie.
Lacking food, loaded with fleas, and in need of a vet visit, we got you sweet girl.

Poor girl has been failed twice by 2 different families.
1. Daisy was adopted and returned the same day...too much energy was the reason
2. Daisy was adopted again, then she was called in as a stray. She was in fact not.
We are done with that, and time to move on to finding a fabulous forever or rescue for this girl. She is the best girl!
Daisy is aprox 2 yrs old
Loves kids and gets along with other dogs

a homeless dog with a heart full of love and a spirit full of adventure. Despite her circumstances, Daisy's sweetness shines brighter than any diamond. She has a knack for making friends wherever she goes, her tail wagging a rhythm of joy that's contagious to all around her.
She love's riding around-There's something about the siren's song that thrills her, her ears perking up at the sound. She loves the feel of the wind rushing through her fur as the city speeds by, a world full of scents and sounds that keep her nose twitching and her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
But what Daisy loves most about these rides is the people. The officers, who share their lunch with her, who scratch behind her ears and make her feel like she belongs. Because for Daisy, home isn't a place. It's being surrounded by people who care, people who love her just as she is. And in their company, Daisy isn't a homeless dog. She's a queen, riding in her chariot, ruling over a kingdom of kindness and love.

The 5 day stray hold has come and gone forever ago, and now months... have come and gone since I started my journey by the Bayou with the rest of my homeless furry friends. .... Here I sat and they sat..... some of them longer than me....waiting and wondering...
I do know now where I am now...they gave me a name. I am Darcy....they tell me I am such a sweet and beautiful girl. I am happy to see them, Thank you Mrs. Ladonna and Terri for getting me this far.
Im not a big girl..I wont take up much room.

**IVY HAS HAD NO ISSUES SINCE GOING TO BOARDING**

MEET IVY:
I spent some time with this sweet girl Ivy.
She is a shy girl, so gentle, she needs a loving family to call her own.

Ivy was found at Mc Donald's in Opelousas and brought to the finders home in Port Barre.
She and one of the many resident dogs got into a fight and Ivy had to go and here we are.

It was probably due to a moment of being overwhelmed, however it would be recommended she be a only dog or a very slow introduction, and not too many animals.

When you pet her she closes her eyes she loves people.
She would best in a only dog home....she loved 2 of our co workers children..... She was found at a Mc Donalds parking lot. Lost? Dumped we will never know and no one has called for her.

She needs rescue, or one amazing foster or family.

We are reaching out for help for Lola Mae's vet bill. Lola was a hot mess express when we got her, very emaciated, riddled with parasites, starved not only for food, but love and a kind touch.

Our wonderful friends at Rice City Animal Hospital is assisting in her recovery, Lola even had a wonderful bath, probably the first one in her life. The current balance is $179.88 The account is under Law for Paws and friends. Payments can be called in at 337-250-4540

Thank you Terri Dushaw Ancelet for picking up Ripley for us. Ripley is home now...he will always have one with us at the police department. Our hearts broke when he passed away. After picking him up, Sadden and mad...So preventable HEARTWORMS ..they do horiffic damage...they will kill your dog. We got him too late. The damage was done. We tried!! Rest easy sweet boy. You deserved better. Thank you Mardi Paws for paying for his creamation and always being there in times of crisis and to Pet passages for a professional and beautiful job for Ripley. We are so thankful.
