We were having such a nice relaxing afternoon. Belly was doing amazing with recall and cuddles… then a bird flew by. Needless to say I got a little more exercise then I planned on.

We have one male and one female puppy from the litter of GrCH HUNT Lanz de Kerveillant x Selva de Bent River available. Selva has exceptionally high diversity for our breed and there are definitely no known ancestors in common between Lanz and Selva. We expect great natural bird dogs with excellent structure. The black and white is the male, the orange and white is the female.

It’s been awhile since we’ve posted a picture of Tremouard or Tuka. They’re just growing up and getting closer and closer to being a year old. Both are growing into the kind of dogs I was hoping for out of their litter. Tremouard definitely favors Homère and Tuka definitely favors Iuka. Looking forward to being past confirmation, health tests, and planning their first breedings.

It’s hard to say what this girl means to us. To me she represents a significant inflection point in our breeding program. I wish that I had bought her when I had the first opportunity to do so from Steve Broughton and Cristin Broughton but thanks to Tara Clark Young’s kindness I was able to eventually add her to our pack. I reflected last night as I gave her her last pre-whelp bath before her last litter. A litter that I hope hits it out of the park combining champions with champions for generations. A litter with a dog that represents nearly the same on the male side of things as she does on the female side of things. Homère de Tremouard.

This morning I was able to capture this photo of Jelly and a couple of grand daughters photobombing. We will soon have Jelly Bean great grands as well.

The 4 Ida x Sig girls went to our favorite Penn Hip Certified Vet River View Veterinary Service, LLC to have their radiographs taken on Monday. We anxiously await Penn Hip scores with baited breath. Picture of some gorgeous gorgeous girls, Tilda, Truth, and Tilly in the frame with Trier hiding in the back.

We are making Tequila de Casa Ato available as a mid career breeding female to a new home. Please inquire with interest via PM. Tequila is an excellent mother, has an exceptional on/off switch in the field/home, has averaged 8 puppies per litter, and is in excellent condition and health. We are offering her for the simple fact that we need to do some breeding program management and we have a daughter of Tequila's that will soon be entering our breeding program.

Tequila is Ay negative, RALY negative, and is a carrier of one copy of dilute. She is a liver based dog, thus her pink nose and lighter colored eyes. She has OFA good hips and normal elbows. Tequila was imported from Spain by Steve and Cristin Broughton and we were able to acquire her just before she was 2 years old. She will remain in our breeding program until retirement if she is not sold mid career.

We are making Taffy de Den Boer available to a new home. Taffy is an approximately 9 month old started female. She was our pick of the litter between Oliver Sur le Delavan and her dam O'Mitzi de Legendary. Mitzi is a very nice female that we were very excited to cover for this very diverse breeding. Taffy's COI is 16%, she is Ay, dilute, and RALY negative. She is also black negative, or otherwise stated, a liver based dog, thus her pink nose. She has not had prelims performed on her hips/elbows or any other testing other than the Embark DNA panel. She comes with her AKC and UKC application for permanent registration but has not yet been registered. Tobi is coming along nicely and we are super happy with how she’s developing so far. She’s growing quickly and already thinks she’s a big dog. Now to convince her to grow up to be as beautiful as her parents and to cover ground like Sota. A good amount of sass in this one so far.

Tito Toffee de Bent River and Jelly Bean de Broughton made a trip to ISU today in Ames. Tito got to meet Dr. Wu who gets a lot of credit for making it possible for him to exist. Tito is now north bound to the great white north of MN. Jelly Bean (Tito’s grand dam) got to have a visit with the ISU Therio department with the hope of being bred for her last litter with Homère de Tremouard. Jelly Bean is such an excellent example of the breed and is the epitome of the total dog. It will be a breeding of champions, from champions, for generations. Epagneul Breton de Broughton

Tito making some friends today. We are really thankful for and excited about this litter overall. We are especially thankful and excited to watch Tito develop and hopefully become a powerhouse total dog for his future home and our future stud dog lineup.

Much to my surprise this Homère x Peanut Butter puppy is once again available. He has a fabulous temperament and is a gorgeous piebald.

CH TR Homère de Tremouard won Best Male and Best of Breed (Best Subject) at the 2016 CEB France National Conclave and was the 2017 Vice Champion of the World. He has a trialer title in the field from France with a cotation rating of 4/6. He is one of the nicest total dogs that I’ve had the pleasure of having my hands on. He has HD-A hips, he does carry one copy of the sable gene but other than that he is DNA tested clear of any other concerning genetic markers that are currently testable.

Peanut Butter de la Rivière Courbée TAN WRT is a well balanced dog with a great search and style in the field as well as a good off switch in the home. She is also one of the most versatile dogs we’ve bred or owned, happy to retrieve upland or waterfowl game from land or lake. Peanut Butter has OFA Good and Penn Hip 0.46 certified hips and is DNA tested clear of any concerning color or genetic markers that are currently testable.

We have decided to offer this male from our Money de Tomecon x Ida de la Source aux Perdrix litter to a new home. DOB is 18JUN21. He is a very mellow dog, gets along well with all canine and humans that he’s encountered. He just had his vet check up and received his 3 year rabies vaccination. He will make a nice dog for a foot hunter. Field work will continue until sold, price will increase accordingly. Money has HD-B hips, Ida has HD-A hips.

Norma Joe showing Megan Beasley Norris that she didn’t just make babies last year. Norma was one that we regretted letting go and has grown up to be a really nice companion gun dog. I still am surprised and thankful that Megan let me adopt Norma back for a year to breed and hunt with. We had a lot of fun together.

Wurtel de Casa Ato x Selva puppies doing really well on this Father’s Day. Selva is being an excellent mother and it’s a good thing with so many little poop monsters! I look forward to seeing how these guys grow up. Wurtel is an interesting dog from a line we have watched for a number of years with exceptional dogs in his background. Selva has some exceptional qualities along with a very low DNA based COI and we are looking forward to this combination and addition to our breeding program.
