Our pets are super sensitive to sounds. To help them adjust to new baby sounds, play the different sounds on your phone or any device. Start soft/low and gradually increase the volume. Take weeks to work on this and make sure to play different sounds babies can make, not just crying.

Our pets noses are more sensitive than our. If expecting a baby, use the lotions, soaps, and other baby products prior to arrival to help your pets prepare for the changes. After baby is born you can let your pets smell a blanket or article of clothing they have used before baby comes home.

If expecting a new pet, while keeping them separated let them smell a blanket or article of clothing that's been in with the other pet.
