Keep pets safe!
Make sure your dogs have collars and tags on at all times! Having a current photo helps in case they do get out and go missing. Turning your tv or radio on loud can muffle the sounds of fireworks. You can also try Calming treats or a kong filled with PB. Hope everyone has a fun safe holiday!

Walk in’s will also be welcome from 10-1:30 Monday-Friday and Saturday 9-12. We are still only taking cash or check until we are off generator power. The grooming room is back up and running 🥳 we have made attempts to contact anyone that we had canceled, to reschedule. I’m sure many of you had to go elsewhere temporarily to keep your pups/cats well groomed. We are now taking apts for small and large breeds as well as cats! Update: 11/16/2023
Our new roof is halfway done, and we are currently 4-6 days out on the county's list for electrical inspections before our electrician can start rewiring our whole facility. Once the electrical repairs are complete and FPL comes out to return power to My Buddies, we will be able to start grooming right away. The kennel and daycare areas are on the tail end of demolition, and by Monday, we should have the go-ahead to begin the remodel. This is going to be a process, as the entire building is in need of repairs. Please be patient with us as we work through each faze and know that we are doing everything we can to provide whatever services we can for your pets along the way. Unfortunately, we do not have a definitive time frame on when we will be able to take dogs for daycare or overnights. Therefore, we can not in good conscience take any reservations at this time.
We miss our furry friends and all of you so much, and we can't wait to open our doors to you all again soon!

Well we tried... we were using a generator hooked up to the grooming room so we could get some of our smaller dogs groomed and some walk in bath and nails. But we ended up having more electrical and water issues. We had to cancel appointments for the rest of the week. We hope to know more over the weekend, but we may have to cancel off all appointments until electric and roof are fixed. We will keep everyone posted. Also we will not be open by Thanksgiving for boarding we are in the process of notifying clients already booked. Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing all of you. We hope to be up and running soon. We will keep posting updates here and you can also text the temporary number which is 941-875-0622

With the generator hooked up to the grooming room we are able to groom some of our smaller dogs and cats. If you’d like to book an appointment please only TEXT as not all calls are going through. 941-875-0622 This is a temporary number for My Buddies till power comes back on. We are booking appointments Monday through Friday next week and will also be doing walk in bath and nails from 10am till 2pm. We will be closed on Saturdays till power comes back on. We apologize to our clients with larger dogs, as soon as power is fixed we will get you in asap. This is CASH or CHECK only because our credit card machine is down.

We are still without power, however we have the grooming room hooked up to a generator and are going to start grooming a few SMALL dogs and cats, to see how things go. We have been having a hard time reaching people who have missed appointments. If you have a small dog or cat and would like to get in we have openings Thursday 19th and Friday 20th. As a start to getting things back to normal at My Buddies we are going to open tomorrow Wednesday October 19th from 10am till 2pm for walk in bath and nails only. (CASH ONLY) Right now we're still without power but have several generators and we were able to "power up" the grooming room. If everything works as planned we will schedule more days. Please bear with us we are trying our best to get back in business. We miss all our furry friends and hope everyone is doing well.

Hello everyone, we finally have an update for you all; though it's not all good news. My Buddies is still waiting on parts to repair our electricity, and as soon as that happens we will be open for grooming! Unfortunately, our daycare and kennel areas suffered a lot of water damage and for the health and safety of your pets and our staff, will be undergoing a full renovation to prevent the possibility of mold and microbial growth. We do not have an exact time-line (we just found out yesterday ourselves). If you have been calling for grooming, we do apologize that our phones are still down, as soon as we can we will be going back and making calls to reschedule anyone who missed appointments first. I just want to thank you all for your understanding and patience through this difficult time, soon My Buddies will be better than ever and we can't wait to see you and all our furry friends when everything is done.
