What an amazing donation we received on Thursday from Lisa and Michael who are a part of Thrivant financial. We would like to share their heartfelt message.

“Thanks so much for the experience of seeing all your dogs and cats and letting us see what goes on and what you do for these animals. It’s truly touching. Michael and I are a part of an organization called Thrivent which is a Faith-based organization not only offering financial services but have a strong belief in GENEROSITY and giving back to your community. After seeing and experiencing Hurricanes Helene and Milton we knew we had to try to help your shelter when we heard of the overcrowding and needs of your facility. We were so excited to hold a fundraiser in support of your needs and in all collected a total of approximately $1200 worth of items(and money) donated and purchased off your wish list.

**A Huge Thank You to Laundry Pros of Florida!**

We are thrilled to share that Laundry Pros of Florida has successfully installed our much-needed industrial washing machines! These incredible machines were purchased thanks to the generous donations from our amazing community of supporters we received through our Facebook donation posts.

Having these industrial washing machines will make an enormous difference in keeping our pets' bedding and supplies clean and comfortable. This is another wonderful reminder of how your kindness directly impacts the well-being of the animals in our care.

If you’d like to help us continue making improvements like this, please consider donating today. Every contribution, big or small, helps us provide the best care possible for the pets in need.

We currently need to raise funds for electrical work, continuous air conditioning issues, lighting upgrades, and other maintenance and repairs of our buildings.

Today, we are thrilled to share that three amazing dogs – Leah, Prince, and Lion – found their forever homes! 🐾❤️ Leah, a gentle soul with a heart of gold, Prince, our playful and energetic boy, and Lion, a lovable bundle of joy, are now on their way to happy new beginnings with their wonderful new families.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports our shelter and helps us make happy tails like these possible! 🐶💕 Let’s wish Leah, Prince, and Lion a life filled with love, belly rubs, and endless adventures. 🏡✨

A Tribute of Love and Remembrance

The Riola family has endured an unimaginable loss with the unexpected passing of both of their beloved sons and grandson. In their memory, they have chosen to purchase a bench through our shelter, ensuring their loved ones will forever be remembered.

This bench, placed at a location on our grounds chosen by the family, is a reflection of their sons’ profound love for dogs. To the Riolas, there is no better place to honor their memory than here—surrounded by the animals and the community that represents their shared compassion and joy.

We are deeply moved by their tribute and humbled to be part of preserving the legacy of their loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Riola family, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for allowing us to share in their remembrance.

May this bench serve as a lasting symbol of love, hope, and the cherished memories that will live on forever.

🌟 A Heartwarming Connection 🌟

Today, we witnessed a beautiful moment that truly embodies the spirit of community and compassion. One of our amazing dog fosters Jerry, who recently lost his beloved wife, was looking for a way to honor her memory. He decided to donate her motorized wheelchair, hoping it would bring comfort and support to someone in need.

After connecting with one of our dedicated staff members Kari, he found the perfect match. This morning, he presented the wheelchair to her, creating a meaningful bond that transcends loss. It was a touching reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of supporting one another.

At the Animal Welfare League, we believe in cultivating relationships within our community, and today was a testament to that mission. We are grateful for individuals like him who share their hearts and help us uplift others. Thank you for being part of our family! 🐾❤️
