One of my absolute favorite competitions at trade shows.
The Rescue Roundup.
Contestants are given a rescue dog. They are not only judged on their grooming but their compassion for these dogs. At the end of the show the dogs are available for adoption. ❤️

Good morning!

I wanted to give everyone a heads up about my schedule next week.
My little one starts Kindergarten Camp on August 12th and ends on the 16th. While I’ll be dropping her off and picking her up, my wonderful support staff will be here to assist with your pets.

To ensure a smooth grooming experience for your furry friend, please let me know if your appointment time next week needs to be adjusted as appointment times may take slightly longer.

School officially starts on the 26th!

One of my favorite speakers, Victor Rosado is a NCMG with NDGAA, ICMG, and is a certifier with IPG, as well as a Grooming Contest Judge and a Licensed All Breeds Conformation Judge for FCPR/FCI.

Jonathan David has been the recipient of multiple sc******ng awards, multiple Best All Around Groomer awards and Best in Show earning him a position on GroomTeam USA in 2008 and 2009.

Jodi Murphy NCMG and MPS, Meritus, owns the Puppy Spa Mobile Grooming Salon in New Jersey. Jodi was a four-year member of Groom Team USA and ended the 2004 season as #1 team member. She won Best American Groomer in 2005 and 2006 at Intergroom, and in 2006 she won the World Championship title in the Oster Invitational Tournament of Champions.

Elli Bultemeier found her passion for grooming over a decade ago when she started as a bather at PetSmart. Not long after training to be a groomer there, she moved to the private sector. She is an award-winning competition groomer, certified pet aesthetician, NCMG, and co-owner of Retro Stylist wear. She owns 14 salons across Indiana and Kentucky.

"Unity is strength, when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."

I want to start by saying how proud I am of my team's dedication and commitment to pet care. If you've ever spent time working with animals you will understand that is a rewarding, yet challenging task.

Both Sydney and Ileana exeplify qualities of patience, care, and compassion with the animals in our salon.

This weekend, The Fido and Felix team is being treated to a fun, educational weekend at PetQuest to enhance our skills in the grooming industry.

We also had the pleasure of enjoying the seminars with Sam of Puckett’s Pups where we shared our personal experiences and knowledge with each other.

"Competition happens at the bottom. The people at the top are collaborating."

All four of us are CPR/Pet safety certified, so you have peace of mind knowing your pets are safe and well cared for in an emergency situation.

Sydney, Ileana and Sam all took the 'Pet Bathing and Brushing' certification, which covered proper bathing, drying, brushing and handling.

I took a "15 coat types" certification course, which displays competency in each of the 15 different coat types and how to properly groom them.

Sydney and Sam took the "Difficult Pet Handling" certification. Which demonstrates how to quickly, compassionately, and efficiently handle the difficult behavioral problems we face every day in our industry.

Ileana and I attended a seminar called " Let's Face It" which demonstrated tips to change up our everyday dog grooming heads into little masterpieces. We learned about the Doodles, the Terriers and other various breeds.

We still have two more days of education and I am so excited to use this knowledge and these tools to create an amazing grooming experience for both you, and your pets.

Continuing education will always be important to me. We are learning from industry leading groomers from across the globe. Some are groomers, business owners, competition groomers and even judges from the ring.

Our Story

Caroline has always been passionate about pets. Throughout her entire life she was raised around animals, learning how to care for them and grooming her personal pets since she was a child. She spent 4 years at Petco as the salon manager and local salon mentor. She had always dreamed of one day being a business owner, and finally she decided to take the leap and open her own salon, Fido & Felix Pet Parlor. She opened the salon with one thing in mind, to put the pets first and help their owners with their grooming needs.
