A Prayer for Memorial Day
Dear God, We thank you for the freedom you have given to us, and for the price that was paid by Christ so that we could live free. We remember today. The cost of it all. The great sacrifice for freedom.

We thank you for the brave men and women who have fought, and continue to fight, so courageously for our nation. We ask for your covering and blessing over them and their families. We pray that you would be gracious and encircle them with your peace. We pray for your great favor and goodness to be evident in their lives.

Please be with all those who wear the uniform, who serve our communities and nation every single day. We ask that you provide your protection, that you would be their guiding force who leads the way, and their rear guard who keeps them safe from behind. We ask that you would draw them to yourself amidst the dangers they face in a dark world, for you are the Truth, you are the Way, you are the Light. (by Debbie McDaniel)

Friends of show dad, Larry D’Amico, have set up a GoFundMe fundraising account following an accident that took place during the Quarter Horse Congress. On Friday, October 1st, Larry fell backwards getting off a golf cart and hit his head. His family soon found out that “just hitting his head” would leave Larry fighting for his life with severe bleeding and bruising of his brain. As of now, Larry is in a step down unit and is on the mend. He’s considered stable, is able to move every part of his body, and is beginning rehab. Although he has improved drastically, he still has a long road of recovery and rehab ahead.

DeGraff Stables World Class Stallions and Amateur Friendly Prospects are proud to support the 2021 SOQHA "The Challenge" Horse Show this spring! Kicking off the show season here in Ohio, "The Challenge" is the main fundraiser for the Youth Association and we are glad to be a part of it. The show hosts the Youth Scholarship Challenge, giving away $10,000 in cash & prizes to the youth. The monies from this this three judge, three day show support the SOQHA Youth Association, the NYATT team and the youth year end awards and other activities. we thank the members of the Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association whom work so hard to support the Youth and in general to promote the Quarter Horse Breed. The SOQHA was started in 1963 and has been an active and progressive organization since then. They put on three very successful shows each year. All managed by An Equine Production and the shows all offer dual approved classes for NSBA members.

With heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of Frosty.

Frosty the Goodbar (Zippos Mr Goodbar x Invest A Step) was bred by Peggy Welch of IL and owned and loved by Heinie and Donna Hendley of Ironwood Acres of MN. He was one of those once in a lifetime horses, notably from his conformation to his movement, but undoubtably for his attitude and personality. Frosty was more of a puppy than a stallion, always in the mood for attention, treats, and naps. He spent the majority of his show career earning his multiple AQHA Superiors and Circuit Championships being piloted by Donna, their bond was natural and strong in and out of the arena.

Following his time in the show pen Frosty came to reside with Robin DeGraff and DeGraff Stables. The breeding farm’s slogan is “The comfort of knowing you are in great hands” and that could not be more accurate. The care and love Frosty received at Robin’s always went above and beyond. There are not enough words of gratitude, he never stopped being thought of or treated as a member of the family. Thank you, Robin, for everything.

We also want to express gratitude to all of you who have loved Frosty and his accomplished get over the years. He sired AQHA, AQHYA, APHA, NSBA, and PtHA World Champions, Reserve World Champions and Multiple Top Ten winners. Congress Champions and Reserve Champions, Top Tens and Finalists. Multiple Futurity, Circuit, Regional, and All-Around Champions with performers in Halter, Equitation, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Riding, Longe Line, and Over Fences Classes. We know they were more than just a horse to you, but a cherished member of your family as well.

This has been a beautiful journey, shared with so many.
