Good Morning!
Quick reminder for all visiting the dog park.

PLEASE make sure you close the two gates when you enter and leave the park.

** PLEASE SHARE ** We have an amazing dog park and dog park community, and nearly all of our park users are thoughtful about picking up after their dogs and themselves. With that said, last night I picked up 14 cigarette butts in the park. The most ridiculous thing is that they were all directly beneath or within a foot of the provided cigarette butt receptacle. Cigarette butts are both toxic to dogs and create a fire danger when conditions are like they are now. Please clean up after yourself while using the park for the safety of our dogs and the community. If this continues to be a problem, our board and paid members will need to revisit our policy on smoking within the park. Thank you. — Jamie Rokus, board member

Thank you to everyone who purchased 50/50 raffle tickets at Saturday’s Wisconsin Rapids Rafters game, and thank you to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Baseball Club for again allowing us to hold our fundraiser at the stadium. A special thanks to all of our amazing volunteers.

We raised a group record $708 this year to support our Port Edwards dog park!! ❤🐶

Our next fundraiser is Saturday, Aug. 10 (THIS SATURDAY) and we need A LOT of volunteers to help us sell 50/50 raffle tickets during the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters game. (This has been a HUGE fundraiser for us the last two years.) Volunteers should arrive by 5:15 p.m. Please comment below or reach out through Messenger if you can help. Why should you become a paid member of Friends of Scentrail Bark Community Park? Because it is a great way to support our dog park AND it gives you a voice in decisions about what happens at our park.

Our board holds several fundraisers throughout the year, but keeping a dog park up and running requires additional funds as well. Annual memberships help with our annual payment to the village, garbage pick-up costs, PO box fees, garbage bags for our waste stations and any unexpected maintenance fees. We have worked very hard to not have to charge a park user fee, and this is a great way to support that too.

Annual Friends memberships run March 1 to Feb. 28 each year and cost $25 per person, $40 for co-residents and $60 for a household of three or more. Paid members also can vote on important park and board decisions. If you have any questions about a Friends membership, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can print off a membership form here, or we’d be happy to mail a copy of the form to you. Thank you in advance for your support. ❤🐶

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!

Thank you to our current and former board members who helped out with Saturday’s brat fry. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to purchase a delicious lunch. Thank you to Quality Foods for allowing us to hold our fundraiser there again this year. And thank you Mother Nature for the BEAUTIFUL day. It was our most successful brat fry to date and we raised almost $700 for maintenance and upkeep at our dog park. ❤🐶

Mark your calendars for our first fundraiser of 2024. Our annual brat fry fundraiser will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at West Grand IGA. If you are able to volunteer, please let us know ASAP. We need several volunteers to help. Otherwise, please stop by to support our Port Edwards dog park. We hope to see you there!! ❤🐶
