The facility's focus is on both high quality daycare, incorporating group play and exercise, along with overnight boarding. The main goal is to provide a better, more enhanced, option for animal care. The facility provides dog suites instead of traditional

dog kennels, providing animals with more space in a relaxed and calming environment. The unique and luxurious environment decreases animal stress associated with boarding. To accommodate larger dogs, or families with multiple dogs, extra large suites will be available. Owners can feel better about leaving their dog during work, or longer term while on vacation. In addition, exercise and socialization is a daily focus. Blue Water Pet Care’s dog daycare program helps provide both, as they are important components in a healthy dog’s life. Dogs with proper exercise and socialization have many benefits such as: better health, less excessive barking, less destructive behavior due to boredom, and less separation anxiety. For a safe and clean environment, high quality material specifically made for such facilities will be used. A sealed nonporous slip resistant floor, medical grade air purification system, and dog suites that won't allow any cross contamination. All of this allows for better pet care!

This is a very hard post to put up, but I need to share that we recently had to say goodbye to my best friend, Dash. For those who may not know, Dash is my personal dog who’s been coming to work with me almost every day since we adopted him a few months after opening Blue Water Pet Care nearly 10 years ago. He was more than just a pet—he was family. Dash grew up with my kids, showing endless patience and love as they grew. At Blue Water Pet Care, he was a familiar face, always there to greet anyone who was willing to give him some love.

Dash loved being at work every day. He’d join the staff for lunch, happy to share a meal with anyone—whether they let him or not! He also liked to be behind anyone using the desk chair, with them sitting on the edge to make room for him. He really loved you all, and he loved being part of our team.

One of the things I loved most about Dash was how affectionate he was. He always wanted to be right by me, whether we were watching TV or sleeping. He’d come right up, lean in, and melt right into me. He did snore quite a bit, but I know I’ll miss that too.

Having to let him go has reminded me of how much they mean to us. They bring us so much joy, even though we know our time with them is too short. It’s a bittersweet part of loving a dog—the heartache is real, but the love and happiness they give us are worth it all.

A few months ago, I adopted Kiva from a dear client who passed away unexpectedly. It’s comforting to think that maybe she’s now looking after my Dash.

Make sure to give your dog just a little extra love today—it's what Dashy would want you to do.
