Ticks ticks ticks!
We URGE you all to keep your pets on flea and tick preventative. This kitty came in after being found in someone’s yard. So while this is not an owned pet, animals like this are traveling through our yards daily. There are THOUSANDS of ticks on this poor kitty. We sell tons of flea and tick preventive. As long as your pet is up to date on their exam, you are welcome to stop in to grab what you need!

Sometimes, a first puppy visit can be scary, as the whole experience is brand new.
But for Murphy, it was the perfect time to sleep through the entire thing. A little R&R for one of the best behaved pups we’ve ever met!!

Today’s the first weekday of Veterinary Receptionist Week!

Allow us to introduce the people who are at our front desk.

Michelle has been with our hospital for a year and a half. Her passion for animals brought her to us, after she first worked grooming dogs. She has really enjoyed making special connections with your pets, it’s been her favorite part of the job.

Sarah has been with us over a year, as well. She has been heavily involved in fostering dogs for rescues, loves all of her own rescue pups, but has a very special soft spot for pugs. Sarah has a big interest in learning all there is to know about veterinary medicine.

Eden joined our team about a year ago. She started as a vet assistant but found a passion for being on the front lines, handling calls and helping bring in emergencies. She has also found a love for cats that she never knew she had before coming to Jefferson.

We absolutely love our reception staff, they are an enormous working wheel that makes our hospital function.
So this week we celebrate and thank them more than usual.
You guys are the best!

Our new hospital cat Peaches has only been here for a few months but she is already family. And today is her Sweet 16! Staff member Eden, who has grown very attached to her, planned out a whole party to celebrate this milestone! A new cat tent, balloons, new toys, and decor! Nothing is too good for our furry staff!
