Prescriptions called in: To all my wonderful clients-
Just a heads up- I am happy to call your prescriptions into Costco, Walmart, QFC whatever- BUT be aware- I might not do it instantly and there is probably a long turnaround time! It might take a while! These pharmacies are overwhelmed themselves and often do not call me OR if they do I am busy and unable to connect with them and Voicemail does not count. They cannot fill your prescription until they talk to me and telephone tag is very common. I am usually overworked and driving ALL day long- sometimes I do not get home until 10 pm. Most days I do not. If you take into account the average call time is 10-15 minutes to give the pharmacist information and this is NOT including wait time to TALK to the pharmacist, multiplied by 10/20/30 prescriptions requests a week coming at me from all angles- voicemail, texts, email, my website- ALL of this is unpaid, no televisit charges, follow up exams, sometimes barely a yearly exam- PLEASE PLEASE consider ordering off my website- shinemobileveterinary.com or Chewy where I can log on any time of the day and approve your prescription much faster. It might take you a little more effort, or cost a few more dollars (although the price is usually comparative) but overall, it is a much faster, easier alternative for me. Again, I am happy to call into other pharmacies esp if the savings to you is significant for certain medications- but the turnaround time can be long. Most of the typical meds- flea meds, allergy meds, etc can be autoshipped to you so that they don't need to be constantly approved :) This is a great alternative. Otherwise, please be patient
