Last week we celebrated our staff the best we could with hurricane-interrupted days. Please join us in showing appreciation to this splendid group of veterinary professionals. We are so grateful for all of them!

We are open! If you can’t make it to your pet’s scheduled appointment today, please phone us at 386-322-0108 and let us know.

We are relieved to find out that our staff members are safe. However, we have made the decision to be closed today so our staff members can tend to damage and flooding at their homes. If your pet has a medical emergency while we are closed, please go to one of the local animal emergency centers.

Hurricane Milton update:

We are now closed (9:15am on Wednesday). We stayed open a couple of hours this morning, but had no calls. Our staff members were sent home so they can be with their families during the storm. If your pet has a medical emergency before we are able to reopen, please go to one of your local animal emergency centers. We plan to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, as soon as we know the building is safe for entry and our staff can make safe travel to the clinic. We will post here once we’re open. We are praying for everyone’s safety.

Hurricane Milton update:

We will be open on Wednesday morning to see sick patients and for medication pick ups. We will be working with a limited number of staff, so please call ahead. We will decide when to close as we see the storm progression. We hope to be able to open Thursday afternoon. If you have an appointment on Thursday afternoon, we will call you if we won’t be able to open.

Stay safe!!

We are monitoring every bit of information we can get about Hurricane Milton and how it will affect our community. The exact course of hurricanes is never really certain, hence the "CONE OF UNCERTAINTY" phrase. If Milton continues on its current path, we will be impacted. PLEASE PLAN NOW! Orders for your pets' medications will be handled as expeditiously as we can. We are, at this time, unsure of what our hours will be Wednesday and/or Thursday. As you prepare yourselves and your homes, please remember your pets and have enough bottled water, food, medications, cat litter, and other supplies you may need. Keep these things in one place to make evacuating with your pets, if necessary, easier. Any patients with a scheduled appointment that we will need to cancel will be phoned once we know when we will be closed. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the uncertainty before the storm. Above all, please take any storm warnings seriously to protect yourself and your pets.

During the month of October, stop in to pick up Halloween Coloring Pages for your kids. Bring back the finished pages and your children will receive a goody bag. (You don't need to be a client for your children to participate.)

Edit:

We are now closed (9/26/24 4:30pm). If you have a scheduled appointment tomorrow (9/27/24), you will be contacted if we need to change anything about our hours for the day.

Stay safe, everyone!

Storm Update:

With most of our afternoon appointments cancelling and the appointments that were left moved up, we will be letting our staff leave early. Having them get home safely before the weather becomes too nasty is a top priority for us. If you are planning on picking up medications today after 3:30, please call to be sure someone is still here. We hope this doesn't cause too much of an inconvenience for anyone.

STORM UPDATE:

At this time we anticipate staying open our regular business hours. Anyone with an appointment will be called if we have to close due to the storm.

Please call to order your pet's medications today. We will do our best to fill those medications by early Thursday morning, so you can pick up before the weather gets bad. Any medications called in after the rains and wind start cannot be guaranteed to be filled timely. If your pet needs storm anxiety meds, now is the time to call!

If you will not be keeping your appointment due to the weather, please have the courtesy to let us know. We do not want our staff travelling to and from the clinic in bad weather for no reason. Your no show could result in a $50 no show fee charged to your account.

Please remember our staff all have homes to prepare just like you do and don't want to drive in bad weather just like you don't. Please take us into consideration as you make your storm plans.

Stay safe, everyone!

Heartworms are born, live and die inside of dogs--with a stop along the way inside mosquitoes. That's why your dog needs year-round heartworm prevention AND yearly heartworm testing. https://bit.ly/3wCYi0G
