Training equals freedom! So often people call and say they want training but they are afraid: I don't want my dog to be a robot or I don't need my dog to be that good. But the truth is, a dog with good manners is a joy to be around, can chase after a ball without running off, and will be able to join your life more often. This is Maya and here is what her owner said: "A year ago we thought if she gets loose we'll never see her again. Can't believe how far she came!" He also said she doesn't bother with the squirrels or other dogs, and no longer drags them around by the leash. A+, Maya!

It's always hard to get pictures in focus with puppies because they tend to move constantly even when they're sitting. This is Dolores. And she is a sweetheart but she has so much to learn about not jumping on the cats, not beating up the old dog, and generally being calmer indoors.

Rex is a really sweet, 90-pound, mixed breed who has been quite the challenge both for his people and for Super Dog School! He has a frenetic brain and his owners knew there were issues even at 3 months old. As he’s grown in size, so have his problems. Add to that some trust issues over being touched around his head, no inhibitions about putting his whole mouth on hands, and absolutely no concern about leashes, and we have a dog who can’t be handled. But finally he is making great breakthroughs! Here he is, walking without needing brute strength and focusing on his task. It’s a hard-earned A+!

This young puppy is learning how to simply walk with her owner in a store full of scary new sounds and smells. It is her first time out in public and it needs to be a positive experience. As she becomes more comfortable, we will add more challenging distractions. A+!

This is Rex. He's 90 pounds of total chaos: jumping, using his teeth to get his way, pulling like a freight train, and anxious about anyone touching around his head. But within a few lessons, he has made remarkable progress, including being able to relax like this. A+, Rex!

This is Yogi, an adolescent Australian Shepherd with some serious challenges, including deafness. He's suspicious of people and dogs, and startles easily. But using touch to work with him is already giving him, and his family, a better quality of life. A+, Yogi!

Christy is less than 5 months old but already knows how to behave properly on a leash. So many dogs never get to go on walks because it is too difficult to handle them. A+!

Maya is calm and behaving perfectly around the ducks, squirrels, and other dogs at Reed Canal Park. Trained dogs get to do more and have fuller lives than untrained dogs. A+!
