Did you know that it is National Veterinary Technician Week? We are going to take this week to highlight some of what makes Veterinary Technicians essential to our ability to care for your pets! Let's start with how does someone become a Licensed Veterinary Technician? Licensed Veterinary Technicians are required to have completed a 2 year degree program as well as pass national and state level licensing exams to demonstrate their knowledge. Their education teaches them clinically relevant anatomy, physiology, anesthesia. radiology, dentistry, parasitology (and many more!) as well as the practical skills that allow them to execute the treatment plans provided by the veterinarian. They are quite literally the hands that make veterinary care happen! Please feel free to leave a message of thanks to our wonderful team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians - Amber, Chrissie, Heidi, and Jessica!

Now is the time to start preparing for the 4th of July with your pets.
Here are some great tips!

Allow your pet access to a safe place such as a crate or quiet room.
Be sure the windows and curtains are closed.

Play calming music (such as Through a Dog's Ear) which can soothe your pet and mask outside noise.

Consider a compression garment. They don’t work for all dogs, but when they do, the results are profound.

Prepare food puzzles (KONG) stuffed and frozen so that they are ready to give your pet when needed.

And don't forget to request any prescription sedatives you may need from us today!!

17 days before the 4th of July. Don't forget to request any prescription sedatives you may need for your pets BEFORE it's too late. Call, text, email us TODAY!!!
