As an award winning custom home builder, Gallagher Family Homes offers Florida customers an array of beautiful home plans and unparallel customer services. Craig Gallagher - President
Having served as a highly decorated and distinguished Green Beret, Ranger School Instructor, and US Army Troop Leader, Craig was honorably discharged after being wounded while defending the United States as a sergeant in the 82nd Airborne in the Middle East. Following his military service, he built and repositioned two manufacturing companies and was the marketing inspiration behind the national campaign and distribution of “pepper spray” for the general consumer. Currently the President and CEO of the SDVOSB Group, Gallagher Family Homes, and Amber Woods Development Corp., Craig launched his construction and development career with the creation of Lexington Homes Inc., in 1994. Stewarding Lexington to an expansion that included over 2,000 Homes, hundreds of midrise units and over 38 planned communities, he was soon recognized as one of the fastest growing Home Builders in Florida. Though he has often been recognized for his thorough understanding of the intrinsic construction asset and its needs, it is his innate skill as an inclusive motivator of staffs and their collective intellectual resources that defines him. A true leader in his field as well as in the community, Mr. Gallagher was featured as the cover story in the May, 2007 issue of “American Executive” magazine. Most notably recognized as a Featured Builder in 2005 on ABC’s Extreme Makeover, he was gratified by his ability to contribute to the special needs of a selected Florida family, not the accolades he received nationally. In 2006 his controlled sustainable growth plan and leadership of Lexington Homes Inc., led to Lexington being listed as one of the Top 100 Builders in the U.S. In 2008 ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover once again requested Craig to assist them in building a church for Hurricane Katrina victims. Though well accomplished and recognized in his trade, it is Craig’s humanitarian contributions, focus on design excellence, and energy efficient building that he is most proud of. Among his many accomplishment , In 2005, the city of St. Petersburg, Florida, declared May 9th as “Craig Gallagher Day” to honor his leadership in uniting the building community, and the company received a citation from Governor Bush declaring them the “Preeminent Builder in West Central Florida.” His tithing and moral fortitude helped unite 450 organizations from six states to deliver $1.75 million of philanthropic projects including Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Extreme Makeover: Jessica's Playground, Extreme Makeover: Kennel Edition, K-Jobs and supported more than 30 local charities in 2005 alone.
