So I’m the one that was driving the bus. 😂🤣😂😉 it is my circus and they are my monkeys and I adore them all.
I was born and raised right here in the treasure coast. I have also lived in Old Saybrook, CT where it was just way too cold for me and came back home.
I grew up loving all animals but dogs and horses were my thing. I’ve competed all over in the horse world and trained junior eqs and jumpers.
I started in the dog world when I was 18, kennel, vet tech, and then grooming.
I had earned my certifications in equine physical therapy, canine physical therapy, and large animal rescue.
I took a hiatus away from persuing certification in grooming to work with chemo patients. I had owned 2 wigs salons, 1 in Florida and 1 in CT, while still always being in involved with dogs and horses with my other business Equine Canine Athletics.
When I returned back to the grooming world full time, I apprenticed under top professionals in the industry, competed in breed shows earning my master certification internationally and AKC breed certifications.
I have groomed and managed in places that were spa like, a vet’s office, and corporate. All had their pros and cons.
I spent 2 years writing multiple business plans wanting a better, safer, more educational, and definitely better customer service that a grooming salon should be. So taking my knowledge of 27 years at that time and advice of top professionals, I sold my house on an upswing market and put every penny of it into my dream in 8/2019 and Just Dogs Spaw was born 12/2019.
Many of you were with me before and during the build out process and all the ones that came when our doors opened, the welcoming was truly one of the very best times of my life. When the sign went onto the building I cried like a baby.
Add another 5 years now owning this salon puts it 30+ years in this industry, and I love every minute of it.

Jenn moved to Florida 8 years ago from Long Island New York.
Jenn started as a bather and moved up to grooming. She has been grooming 7 years now.
She is married to a wonderful man, full of humor.
Jenn is avidly involved with Madison Miracles, Madison’s Miracles is a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization that provides support and resources to grieving parents who have experienced still birth, pregnancy or infant loss.
This program is very near and dear to Jenn and her husband as they were there for them with their son Jace. ❤️
I met Jenn 6 years ago. She started with me when Just Dogs Spaw was just beginning, not even fully built out in 10/2019. Many of the paw prints you see in the salon have been painted by her. Her blood, sweat, and tears are in here just as much as mine.
Jenn has a huge thirst for knowledge in the grooming industry and has accomplished so much in the 5 years that JDS has opened its doors. She has attended numerous classes, seminars, and trade shows with elite top professionals and teachers from this industry. Earning herself many awards and certificates.
She is amazing with difficult dogs and older dogs. She has great patience and understanding of what is needed for these types of dogs and has the certificates to back it up.
She loves doing all breeds and loves doing new and creative trims. She is also our creative color specialist. She has a huge heart for the fur babies and you may catch her dancing and kissing them even if they are grouchy.
Jenn is an avid reader, hmmm I’m not sure avid describes it. Passionate maybe. Talk to her about books and she will light up and recommend some amazing authors and books that will take you on a journey you’ve never been before. Marissa
Marissa was born and raised in Florida. She got her love for animals early on as both her parents are huge animal lovers.
She has lived in Florida, New Jersey, North Dakota, Texas and finally back home to Florida again ❤️ where she found Just Dogs Spaw in January 2024. I so happy she became part of the JDS family.
She has 2 pups. Baxter is a Anatolian/Pyrenees mix and Chief is a golden retriever.
She has 2 amazing young sons which keep her busy and on her toes along with her amazing boyfriend, Kevin ❤️
Marissa ran a rescue called Justice 4 Mutts for 5 years with her best friend in Texas before she worked her way up to manager at a dog boarding, grooming and daycare facility. This is where she found her calling to be a dog groomer. She has been grooming 3 & 1/2 years.
She is so sweet with the dogs and puts out an amazing finish of a groom.
You will see no grass grow under her feet, she is always active with her family. You will find her beaching it, petting animals at the zoo, jet skiing, and most definitely shopping.
When you first meet Marissa she will come off as shy and sweet and oh so cute. As you get to know her, she’s still sweet and oh so cute but shy is no longer. 😂🤣😂 she is hilarious and very quick with the come backs. She is always singing no matter what is playing. Her music knowledge is incredible and how she knows all the words from 5 finger death punch, oldies, country, pop baffles me.
She’s always up for my antics without a fuss. Her morning routine at the salon is picking out your dog’s accessories for the photos.
She keeps us on our toes and has us laughing daily. She has such a sweet caring heart.
She is our Malibu Barbie. 🤣😂🤣😂 sorry you had to know that was getting thrown in at some point.

Alicia,
You see her face right up front when you come in the door. You’ll see her at the desk, managing the office part, trimming nails, bathing, apprenticing, and she is on her way to becoming one of our groomers.
She is a devoted mother to an amazing 13 year old. She started working with animals at a young age on the family farm. She decided to make working with animals a career, she started as an animal control officer in the early 2000’s and from there became a vet tech of 14 years, she took a 5 year hiatus to pursue other things & realized just how much she missed it. So in 2020 she came into the JDS Family. Which I am so very thankful for.
She has been the seafood festival mermaid, you will see her out there fighting for the river and save our Salerno. If it’s a cause that’s supports our wild life, you can bet she’s probably there.
She is a huge nature lover. She converted her home into a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Federation. She is also an avid bird watcher & has been published in the Treasure Coast Free Press with her vlog adventures of how she became the local crazy bird lady. Birdfy by Netvue has sponsored her affinity of the birds & her yard is an example to represent their unique camera capabilities.
I don’t know how she does it all but she will be right there to greet you with a beautiful smile, laugh with you and cry with you. She truly has a heart of gold.

Nicole
Nicole has always had a passion for animals. She started grooming 17 years ago, where she learned at a young age working for her aunt’s salon. She started as front desk and then a bather and eventually made her way to grooming. Nicoles' motivation and passion for animals has always been strong.
She eventually made her way into veterinarian school, where she graduated with her degree as a veterinarian technician along with certificates in animal safety & CPR, dog behavior, nutrition, and training. She worked as a veterinarian technician for several years before returning back to the grooming world.
She opened her own grooming salon for 4 years in NY before being in a serious car accident. After being on bed rest and having many surgeries later, they finally put humpty dumpty back together. Once Nicole got back on her feet, she moved to FL and found Just Dogs Spaw August 2022, I am so thrilled she did. It seems no amount of metal and pins has slowed her down.
Nicole specializes in working with Elder dog, aggressive dogs, and introduction grooming with puppies. However, she loves working with all the different fur babies.
In the past, Nicole worked at Babylon Stables, where she thrived in the horse world. She rode and taught lessons. Which might explain her hard work ethic and a mind to teach. She jumps in to help with all things including our groomer trainees.
It seems wherever the animals are is where she will be, no matter what kind of animal she will happily try to pet it as well.
When Nicole's not here at JDS, you can find her exploring and hiking the nature trails with her dog, out on the boat fishing or hunting with her boyfriend and friends, relaxing by her pool, traveling the world or snuggling her animals.
She has such a great laugh and is truly amazing with us and the dogs.

Britney
Britney , has been a pet groomer for 13 years. She joined the animal field 20 yrs ago everything from Kennel attendant, groomer assistant, and vet tech. All that before perusing her career in grooming. Britney had owned her own mobile grooming company before coming to Just Dogs Spaw in January 2023. I’m so very glad she did. She is an amazing groomer and her compassion for animals is truly even more amazing.
She was born and raised on the treasure coast. She is a Mother to a amazing 13yr son. She likes to lounge around with family at the beach and also enjoys a simple night a home relaxing with a good puzzle.
You also might catch her dancing to ring tones of motto motto, or parading around as a dinosaur. She brings so much fun to the salon and her laugh will get you laughing even if you have no clue what is going on.
She is always quick to jump in to help out, not matter what it is, laundry, helping groomer trainees and all around salon function. She’s always up for my antics and brings some of her own. She’s a blast to have around.
She is such an amazing person and I am lucky she came into our lives.

Julissa
Julissa started working with animals since she was 16, she started off volunteering at animal shelters then started working for a kennel managing for about 4 years.
She is an amazing mom to an even more amazing 9 year old son.
Julissa came to Just Dogs Spaw in April 2023. I’m so glad she found us, as she is always up for my antics of photos and videos.
She has such a love for animals and you definitely will catch her kissing your fur babies.
She started as a bather and receptionist. She is now one of our groomer trainees and has such an artistic eye.
On her days off she enjoys relaxing at home with the stereo blasting, video games, and is always up for a scary movie. She is (and I’ll say it again) very artistic, creating all kinds of arts & crafts.
She has such a huge heart and is always dancing. You might catch her in the act at times. She will dance and sing to your dog while they are in the bathing tub or getting brushed out. As much as she is kissing them, they are kissing her right back. She truly has a beautiful heart!

Victoria was born in New Jersey but raised here in sunny Port St Lucie. She is an amazing mom to an even more amazing 4-year-old boy.
Victoria's life revolves around her son and things to keep him entertained. She likes to spend her down time out on the boat at the sandbar with friends and family.
On other days, she spends her time cooking, baking, watching sports, and taking care of her garden.
Tori has been involved in the grooming world for 6 years. She joined Just Dogs Spaw July 2021. I’m so happy she did. She started off as a bather and receptionist. However, she has been a groomer in training for a while now and is doing amazing. She is now taking some breeds for grooming and is building up quite the following.
You will definitely catch her dancing with the dogs or stealing snuggles from every dog in the salon.
She has such a great spirit and always jumps in to help. She has a quick sense of humor and keeps us on our toes laughing.
There are just not enough words to describe how amazing she truly is.
I’m going to be sharing with you my groomers, whom I’m thankful for every day. I want to share a small part of who they are besides just being a groomer. They are not just employees, they are family. This will take a couple weeks as I have quite a few and want each one to have their moment. So without further ado, ladies always go first, so with having to put up with us, I will throw Michael under the bus first. 🤣😂🤣
Michael,
Mike came to JDS in September of 2021 all the way from Cortlandt manor in west Chester, NY. He had worked as postal carrier and dish network, when he decided that dogs were more his calling. He started as a bather and then earned his certificate in grooming.
Mike has 10 years of grooming experience and is quite amazing, we are lucky to have him.
He is a devoted husband and father to his beautiful wife and daughters.
That might explain why he is so unflappable in a salon full of women. Not gonna lie there is a lot of estrogen running in here. lol
Mike with his calm demeanor can calm the most excitable of fur babies. He’s unfazed by us that may be dancing or doing Dino stampedes.
Don’t be fooled though he has a quick wit that jumps out and has us all cracking up laughing.
Don’t be surprised if you come in and Whitney Houston is playing, that he is in the back belting it out. Sing it Michael!!!
Mike enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach and pool. He is also quite the movie buff and his memory of movie quotes is uncanny.
He brings a dynamic that we all love.
