Grim 7 month old Belgian Malinois. rolling into week 5. he started with no formal obedience, low confidence, zero impulse control, lack of exposure to enviromentals and SEVERE reactivity to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. All of which left unattended would make Grim a liability. I am grateful for extended time together❤️

Dear Mr President... because no one cares😤 So today I started writing letters to President Trump who signed the Bill making heinous crimes against animals a FELONY. we have all contacted Talladega Sheriff, the state attorney, the FBI, and more.... no one will do anything😠 18 days after a felony was dropped to a misdemeanor warrant and still no arrest for and all the other dogs who have lost their lives, starved and were beaten down by Jeff Mcarthur.

We like to switch things up. See what the dogs like and to keep it interesting. Todays fun was baby disc rollers. I think he likes it! Great job Grim!
We get him going going going and then hey what's this? yes tagging in some OB 😉 recalls, outs, sits, no snatchy grabbies, impulse control, engagement and all around good time 🥰

Miss Gidget Del Fuego Interno 🔥my soul dog, my everything 💗♾️
She spotted me in my old French Ring training vest working Angus. She heard the whistle, her old recall cue and I found her in the doorway, alert and ready. Gidge will be 12 years old on Dec 10th, but we honor her, her life, all she still has to give and she still wants to work. So we did🥹
-she can't jump high anymore, or run as fast & the routine isn't perfect. But God does she try and LOVES the work, the time together. Love you Gidgey Gurl!

I KNEW this pupper was going to be funnnnnn!
This little sweetie has no known basic obedience & has never worked for food.
So the dance party begins using her daily food (not treats)
*The session was @ 8 min, video was cut and sped up for time

🌸 today was all about
-getting to know you
-building engagement
-intro to food/creating a "pro active dog"-getting her moving
-bonding
-motor skills

Remembering Lyla 🌈 🐾
we got word a few days ago that beautiful Lyla (the white dog) at 11.5yo was recently diagnosed with cancer and passed away 😔

Lyla's mom said Lyla was smiling, giving kisses and wagging her tail moments before crossing the rainbow bridge. She left this world with love in her heart & dignity.

Dearest Lyla, you were an angel on earth as you are now in heaven. You will be missed and we thank you for sharing your love and light with us. Run free pretty girl 🕊️

😌Squidy's first Christmas 🎄

I'm seeing post after post "how do I stop my dog from going after the Christmas tree/ornaments etc...??"
🐾 I see suggestions on barriers/gates and I suppose if you haven't taught your dog any boundaries, leave it, manners... then that's a great option 👍🏻 *unless they smash the gate over as well 🤦🏼‍♀️
-if you can't trust the dog when it's unobserved, crating is a great choice too!

🌸 everyone here is allowed to check it out. I mean there's a tree in the house. That's odd 🤷‍♀️ so of course they are curious 🤨
-after that it's a no fly zone. my dogs have been taught "ehhh ehhhh, leave it", they move away easily with no fuss and that's it.
-the youngest are 7 & 9 months so I have had time to instill some training. If they were still baby babies, this post may be slightly different, as they were all a bunch of maniacs when they were tiny 😜
-and for the record, Angus at almost 3yo is never left out unattended because he would probably burn the house down 🤣 *know your dogs 😉

🐾 teach boundaries. If you don't have time for that because the tree is up/you don't know how, then manage it. keep your tree and puppies safe 🙏🌟
