Teddy is a 2 year old Chocolate Lab/ Pibble mix according to his previous owner, but all we know is that he's 100% Good Boy! Sadly, his owner had to surrender him due to family health issues, and sweet Teddy doesn't understand why he ended up here. He's making the best of it and enjoys every minute he's out and about with our staff and volunteers! Teddy has a medium energy level, is housebroken according to the previous owner, and gets along well with other dogs. Teddy is full of love and we believe he would make a great addition to just about any home!

Coco in the snow!
Some dogs won’t even step a paw in the snow, but not Coco! A husky/ chow chow mix, Coco is living her best life in this weather!

There's nothing like a fall romp on our nature trail! Adoptable Cleo, a 2 year old "XL Bully", and Chance, a 1.5 year old Mini Labradoodle are getting some playtime in before heading to Starbucks for pumpkin spice lattes. It was a beautiful morning here in Port Washington for a walk around the neighborhood! Adoptable pup, Vader, had so much fun greeting everyone he saw while prancing around. He even said hello to himself in his reflection on a car door 🤣! Vader may be deaf but as you can see, that does not get this happy-go-lucky guy down. Vader is ready to find his forever home!

Big Mama the Cane Corso mix is looking for her permanent rump-scratcher, err, new best friend! Mama was found as a stray with 7lbs of chains hanging from her neck- we can’t imagine why anyone would put that on this sweet girl! She is easy- going, affectionate, gets along with other dogs, and lives for butt scratches and belly rubs. This week for Adopt a Senior Pet Month we are featuring 13 year young Athena who has been in the shelter since 2017 after her owner passed away. Athena is a fun loving girl- you would never know she is a senior as she lives to chase a ball! Athena must be the only pet in the home and we believe this is why she has been in the shelter for so long. She loves to meet new people, especially if they have a ball in their hand! After nearly 5 years in the shelter, Athena would love nothing more than to be in a home again for this holiday season and for the rest of her golden years. November is Adopt a Senior Pet month! Shadow the Jindo mix is 10 years young and wants to be home by Thanksgiving to share that turkey with you! Shadow is a laid back guy that loves to go for leisurely romps on our nature trail and hang out in the sun. He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with all people he meets, but he would prefer to live in a cat-free household.
