Attention to all of our cat lovers! Did you know Lakeview has recently updated one of our exam rooms to make your four-legged friend more comfortable when they come to visit us?
The room is at the end of a hallway, away from the busy reception desk and we have added sound absorbing panels, Feliway diffusers, and a lot of new things to explore! This room was designed with cats in mind and is a big step toward becoming an even more cat-friendly practice!

Over the last couple months, we have had this coloring page hung in the treatment area of our hospital. It has served 2 very important purposes to the Lakeview staff.
The first purpose was encouraging collaboration, communication and teamwork. These are vital for a successful veterinary clinic and it is something we take seriously, and always try to make time for. But to be honest, with a busy hospital, and many patients to see throughout the day, finding time for team-building exercises is near impossible for us! Every staff member has contributed to this coloring page in one way or another, and it has been so much fun seeing it come together!
The second purpose was to create a safe space for our staff members to take a few minutes for themselves if needed and clear their mind. A common assumption about the day-to-day experience of veterinary professionals is that we play with animals all day. While this assumption has elements of truth, it’s not the full picture of what happens on a daily basis behind closed doors. Simply put, some days are just HARD. We have been thankful to have a safe space to go and let go of some of that stress.

May is Arthritis Awareness Month!
A dog is considered a senior at the age of 7 to 10 years old, depending on breed, and that’s when their muzzle may begin to gray, they lose strength and flexibility, their health may begin to decline and their energy level drops. A regular exercise routine and healthy diet can help keep your senior dog mobile and stimulated, and it can help ease the symptoms of existing or developing medical problems, including osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease, it cannot be cured, but only controlled. Happy Friday! 🐾🐾 We wanted to show off Zeppy, who has been a wonderful boy for us! He’s been receiving chemotherapy treatments at a specialty hospital, and we’ve been able to see him quite a bit for his follow ups. We’re happy to see him finishing treatment and doing well!
