This pup-crazed pair has a long history of pet wrangling, both for their own four-leggeds and for others. Heck, these two wouldn't even know each other had they not met at a dog kennel where they spent many hours befriending mongrels of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes (and each other of course). So now that you know how these two met, you're probably wondering where they started off-
Meet Mar
issa: She's a graduate student at DePaul University studying to be a high school English teacher. Marissa is a native Coloradan, an avid biker, and a vehement clog enthusiast. She found her way into animal care after a volatile split with the food service industry. She is now busy studying and running mock lessons with her favorite daushchunds and beagles (they're the best listeners), smiling all the while, knowing that she will never have to steam another cappuccino again. Meet Luke: While restaurants and cafés taught Marissa that feeding dogs was better than feeding people, Luke learned that talking to dogs was better than talking to people after a stint in telefundraising. Luke is a native Michigander and recent graduate from Loyola University, where he studied English Literature. It was at Loyola where he found his love for classical Medieval works, which undoubtedly attributes to his affinity for reading Chaucer aloud to corgis and cocker spaniels alike. Regardless of how this pair got to where they are today, they are two of the best pup wranglers in the city. They collectively have over fifteen years of field experience; they have done everything from overnights at the pet's residence, brought furry friends home with them for the weekend, taken daily walks with a multitude of breeds, and everything in between (including the care of their own small companions). Both of these literature enthusiasts have cared for such a variety of animals it's hard to name them all; but rest assured, no matter what your little one needs, they can give him or her all the care and love they deserve while you are away.
