Dr. Christina Bowles, a graduate from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice in 2005. Later purchasing the practice from its previous owner, Dr. Heidi Stucki in July 2012. Dr. Bowles has spent the past 7 years making the practice her own by providing excellent routine/emergency care to dogs and cat of all sizes! Our support staff includes:

We are so excited to bring in 2025 with our Cat and Dog of the Month!🐾
Who better to start off the new year than with these two sweethearts?

🐱 Indiana Jones - This lovable boy is the most affectionate cat you’ll ever meet! Indy was brought to us as a stray almost five years ago and was taken in by an incredible family. Indy is famous for rolling over to get his belly rubbed every time he stays with us. He’s the ultimate cuddler and a total staff favorite. 🐈❤️

🐶 Misty Mae - Misty Mae has been coming in almost weekly for treatments, and she never holds it against us as she always seems happy to be here. Misty continues to be the sweetest girl! She never fails to brighten our days with her gentle nature and loving spirit. Misty Mae is truly the staple of our week whenever she comes to visit, and we are so grateful for the joy she brings us. 🐕💕

🐾✨ Transformation Tuesday: From tiny pup to happy, bouncing boy, this is Arthur! ✨🐾

Look at this handsome Springer Spaniel now, all grown up but still with that same infectious energy and joy! From his early days of sweet puppy cuddles to the full-speed zoomies, Arthur has always been a bundle of happiness. His playful spirit and loving heart have only grown, and we’re lucky to witness every leap and tail wag along the way. 💙

We have a final tally for our "Generous Hands for Rescued Paws" food drive! Thanks to the support of our wonderful clients we collected a whopping 740.8 # of human food. 😺😺

Now it's SRAH's turn. We will be ordering 741 # of cat and dog food that will be donated to the Comstock Community Center for their meals on wheels program for senior citizens and their pets.

I hope all of you know just how much we appreciate the continued support and love for our annual food drive. We look forward to continuing this tradition in 2025. Happy Holidays!! ☃️☃️

Our Story

Our animal hospital offers very personalized and superior care to your dogs and cats. We all know that our furry friends are more than pets, they are part of the family! Dr. Christina Bowles (Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2001) joined the practice in 2005. In July 2012, Dr. Bowles purchased the practice from its previous owner, Dr. Heidi Stucki. We are currently in search of the perfect second veterinarian to complete our Shaver Road family! Our support staff includes our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Jessica Kamm and Audrea Bailey; Office/Finance Manager Emily French; Staff/Client Relations Manager Sally Browne; and our excellent Veterinary Assistants: Simone Heller, Christy Hite, Rachel Smith, Jessie Luke, Kaylee Flickinger, and Kyla Glascock.

Our clinic offers an array of services, including in house blood work, radiology, surgery, emergency, well pet visits/vaccinations, doggy daycare, and boarding. Call us anytime, to receive a quote on any of our services listed above.
