Hi Everyone!

We’ve had a last minute scheduling conflict come up, and would like to ask if modifying our Christmas Eve hours to 9-3, or 9-4 would be an issue for anyone. Several people have indicated they would be traveling or only coming in the morning, but I didn’t want to make a last minute change without asking ahead of time. These have always been our Christmas Eve hours, but since Christmas Eve has been on the weekend for the past two years, I had forgotten that was our schedule! Since I had posted normal hours already, please let me know if this will work.

I sadly found out yesterday that Logan (not our employee) passed away. He had come for many years and had the biggest personality in a little body. He definitely had a picture of himself as a super stuffy winter warrior. He never wanted to come inside when it snowed and I had to chase him around and make him sit inside when it was really cold and snowy. He loved to show off his manly poses for the ladies, bark at the water coming out of the hose and chase it, and go in and out every gate multiple times a day like a cat. He knew it was all about your attitude, and I can still hear his big dog bark when he wanted something. He will be dearly missed and I’m so glad he shared his zest for life with us for so many years! RIP Logie!

We have recently been notified that a dog that also attends Camp Fido was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. They told me Camp Fido had posted on their website that it was going around their facility.

At this time, please do not bring your dog to our facility if they also attend Camp Fido until the quarantine period is over so as not to spread any illness to our campers. This would also apply if your dog is in contact with any dogs that attend Camp Fido. It may also be a good idea to avoid playing in dog parks for a week or so, as you don’t know if any dogs there could have been infected.

Unfortunately, they are contagious prior to showing symptoms, which is always the frustrating part about it. I know everyone does their best to curtail it as much as they can, but it’s usually spread before anyone is aware. I know Camp Fido is very careful and requires Bordetella vaccines as well, so this must be something other than Bordetella, or a strain that is not in the vaccine.

When turtle patrol goes awry…

After wearing each other out racing outside, Rusty and Tycho came inside for some lazy wrestling where they can have fun without too much effort!
