On Friday, we said goodbye to my oldest, longest customer, Mojo. Words cannot describe this boy. He was extremely opinionated about what he wanted in life, and luckily that was to play at the park every Saturday. I cannot imagine him not being there.
Mojo made many good friends and invented the game of racing up and down the fence and barking at each other. When nobody would play the game, he sat on his side and barked until someone came to play again. He also loved the pool, and rolling in the grass doing his patented rabbit kick, and was always up for a good game of tug of war
He met his very best friend, Marcus, playing at the park, and when Marcus’ owner passed away, it was a no brainer for them to become brothers When he moved in, they many romps around the yard and wrestling inside And of course, Marcus was by his side when his family said goodbye, as the faithful brother he always was.
I also used to give Mojo rides to and from the park, and when he had 2 cruciate repairs, I also brought him up to MSU for weekly rehab sessions, and it was no surprise the rehab team fell in love with him too. Oftentimes I would bring him home, he would say hello to his family, and then turn to get back in the car to go back to play. He really was one of my best friends too
Mojo brought us a lot of laughs with his antics, and so much love. He was a very good dog, and I know his strong spirit will be with us always. I am grateful his mom and dad chose us to care for him over the years as it brought us so much joy.
