Someone please adopt Jerry Lee! He's so lonely since his two siblings left and we don't have any other young kittens to pair him with. We can hear him crying when we are in the front office so we grab him and carry him around as much as we can. He loves it! Jerry Lee is super social and loves to play. Good morning supporters! As you may have seen advertised on our cover photo, we are celebrating 100 years of serving Columbia County this year! CCHS was officially incorporated on March 12th, 1925. During the last 100 years, we have worked with countless agencies, municipalities, residents in surrounding counties, various police and sheriff departments, as well as other shelters. We have also partnered with numerous rescues around the United States in order to assist in saving as many animals as we could. This broad reach has also allowed us to build relationships with those sharing the same mission. There have been many changes along the way and we continue to grow and succeed. In honor of all of the animals and individuals that have had a part in making CCHS successful for these last 100 years, we will be selling some very special hand-made limited edition merchandise. There will only be a limited quantity so keep your eyes open when they get posted on our page and grab one while they're available! Most of all, thank you to our supporters because without you, we couldn't do what we do.

What a beautiful 4-year-old cat! Meet Moo! The very first thing you notice about Moo when you meet her is her stunning coloring and her uniquely beautiful eyes. A national pet microchip company, Save This Life (STL), has unexpectedly shut down and is no longer responding to inquiries, making it hard to access owner information for pets registered in their database.

We have not utilized STL microchips at our practice, and the good news is that the STL microchips are still functional, however we recommend re-registering your pet’s contact information with a new database as soon as possible.

Gideon can be a tad nervous when getting picked up, but other than that, he really enjoys human company. He's playful too and loves lounging around in his hammock.
