Rock is a very lucky puppy who was rescued and adopted by our dear friend and supporter, Rebecca, through Wishbone's years ago. 🍀
She has done so much training and work with him and shows him all the love in the World. She's an art teacher and has shown him so much patience and exposure.....we're not surprised he turned into such an intelligent and intuitive young man.

We CANNOT even begin to express how sweeeeeeeeeet Mr Peanut is. He craves love and attention so much, his favorite time of day is definitely his play & cuddle time outside of his pen. He truly deserves to be someone's baaaaby. He is so sweet to all creatures and people. But he definitely wants a Mom or Dad to be attached to who can give him so much affection. He deserves it.

Last week, these two tiny cuties came into our rescue! They were bought from a pet store by their owners, but big life changes popped up for them and they no longer had the energy to make the time for these sweet boys anymore.
Rats are really friendly, smart and fascinating! They love attention and make most excellent pets! For the most part, they're very easy to maintain. These boys are a little more shy (especially the little gray guy in the back) but they're going to get a lot of attention and love to get them ready for forever homes. These 2 are bonded and will have to be adopted together.

We made a post last week about a sweet, 9 year old black lab who was in urgent need of a home due to some very unfortunate circumstances. Our dear friend, Lou (who owns and operates Dom's Gulf-now 'Clark'-gas station and mechanic shop on McNeilly Road) called us right away inquiring about Lily!
Well, Lou took the 'leash' (haha), called her family, set up a drop off time and as you can see, the Clark station has a new pack member!
Lily had another lab companion who passed away a few months ago and her whole World continued to flip. Lou has two pup friends, already, one being a spunky young lab, Izzy and an older little fella named Bear. Lou loves his dogs more than anything! We cannot express how lucky Lily is. 🍀❤️🐾
Many stories aren't as happy as Lily's is turning out. Many dogs who enter shelters that aren't specifically 'no kill' unfortunately do not come out alive into happy homes.
We are so grateful to Lou and crew at the Clark station for always supporting our business, sanctuary and for the love they have for animals and their dogs. 😇🙌🥰🙏🐾😎

Not only are we now out of debt, but, we are able to buy Peanut his pellets and are able to afford to buy our foster dogs their food with your donations. 🐾🙏🐰
We are going to be setting Peanut up, soon, with a Veterinary appointment to get a second opinion on his lung condition (he's been fantastic-he runs around and plays without sneezing and coughing fits most of the time-but does occasionally still have fits, as we think it's a chronic disease that can be managed very well but is incurable).

A couple weekends ago, Skor got a much needed visit from his AWESOME chiropractor, Julie, who we are so very grateful to for always crackin' our guy back into place! 🐴🙏♥️

Poor Skor was born in 2008 and started racing in 2010 (he wasn't even 3 years old yet). Horses aren't fully developed until their about 4-6 years old. At 16 years old now, Skor has some pretty bad joint issues for being pushed too hard at a young age.
Did you know that 72 horses died on the racetracks of Pennsylvania in 2023? (Stats according to 'Horseracing Wrongs'). It's all about speed and money. Horses are often abused and neglected serving their 'careers' on the track and are often times sent to 'kill pens' for auction/slaughter when they're no longer of use to the racetracks.
