This beautiful little lady, 'Turts', is looking for her retirement home! She is a 9-10 year old, Red Eared Slider. This would be a 'home-to-home' adoption. Turt's current keepers inherented her from a situation where she needed and deserved better care. They've been keeping her well, but, they'd like to try and find her an experienced owner where she can truly thrive!
Turtles are smart, incredibly fascinating, unique animals and make fantastic pets! They are pretty low maintenance as far as pets go, HOWEVER, tank/filter maintenance is a necassary, regular chore for keeping a healthy and happy turtle 🐢.
Turts will come with her tank & accessories!

Our most beautiful and adoptable, Kessie-girl, had her first training class with Say it Once Rescue League and her foster family today 😊.
Say It Once Rescue League is a non-profit organization that helps rescues & adopters with dogs that may need a little extra guidance. Kessie is a very sweet, loving, intelligent girl and had a lot of fun learning things today at her session!
She's going to be working with things on her walks, crate training exercises and learning some new 'phrases/commands'. Kessie's a very obedient girl, so honing in on her focus and manners will be a blast for her. She's going to be SO ready for her forever home.

Harvey-girl is 2 months shy of being in foster care for a whole year! She's come such a long way since she came to us. She is obedient, happy, silly, friendly, energetic and so, so sweet. She gets along with other animals, loves kids and all people. Harvey is about 7 years old but has a young heart and a healthy body! You might think she was 3 or 4!
Harvey has had 5 meet n' greets so far but hasn't found her forever family yet. She's tagging along with me (Jamie) at the end of August to meet a friend of ours and her sweet baby girl! 💗🤱
Even though the meet n' greets didn't work out for Harvey, she's made a lot of new friends. I'd like to think that anyone who's met Harvey thinks she's a very good and sweet girl and they're rooting for her.
She really deserves a loving family. 🙏
Nala is getting fantastic care at her foster home. We are so appreciative of her foster family! Nala loves her time exploring their den and snuggling with her human foster brother 😉.
She really would love a family of her own to spend the rest of her days with. She's about 5 years old and we know bunnies have the potential to live 12 or so years! She's a healthy and happy girl and would really love to spend the rest of her life with a family of her very own to cuddle and hangout with.
She's so polite, litter trained and wants to be a part of the family. She's acquainted with all types of other animals too!

Our friends at People's Animal Care and Control took in a very neglected cat. The cats owner died and they are saving 'Fluffy's' life. Fluffy is being taken care of at Latrobe Animal Clinic. Fluffy has an outstanding balance of about $300.00. They have some more work to do, too.

They have been seen by a vet and all 5 had ear mites, fleas, and worms. They have thankfully been treated! They're going to start feeling so much more comfortable. It's tough out there for stray and feral cats.
They are all set up for appointments to be fixed next month! They are being fostered at Rebecca's neighbors house. Teamwork is so important. Sometimes we really love people. 🥹💖🐾

It's baby kitten season!
A Momma and her babies popped up in our friend Rebecca's yard. Rebecca is a beautiful person inside and out and decided that since this little family chose her/her yard to trust, that she would take on the responsibility of trapping/fixing/releasing (if need be) and finding the human friendly kitties homes.
We are here to support her. She's always supporting us and putting so much kindness into the World, we are so thrilled to see what she's doing for these animals!

Lukey peaking in to say hello and give you all an update!
We've had Luke to a bunny vet twice now, his most recent appointment was this just past Tuesday. Our first trip we were sent home with two different types of meds (in shot form) & this time he got more meds and radiographs showing some potential arthritis and 'urine sludge' (which he will be on some cranberry juice/water mix and extra water soaked greens to flush out his system).
You can see in Luke's photos how he has a lot of extra skin hanging on his hindquarters. Those photos were taken after his 1st bath so you can see it very clearly. The vet seems to think that due to some kind of injury he has lost the partial use of his back legs and is hoping that some 'pyshcial therapy' (having a lot of time doing exercises like running around & having space) will help Luke develop some more muscles again.
Luke also had urine burn very badly when he came to us (and still has some that we will continue bathing off and treating). Due to his disabled rear end and extra skin, when he goes to the bathroom....it's not very neat! We will be needing to bathe and clean Luke on the regular as this little fella needs regular extra TLC and nursing care. ❤️🐰
Luke has come a long way with us so far at becoming more easily handled. He has also grown to start loving pets and attentions. He's a VERY cool, handsome and chill dude. 😎🙏🐾
We love Big Head and his buffalo family, he was so fun to talk to. He really listened and definitely 'talked' back with me. 🦬❤️🙏🍒 Such a sweetheart, miss him already and will surely be back to visit soon. 😊

We are happy to report that 'Phil' has found his home-sweet-forever home where he is very loved and very spoiled and from what we hear, quite a Mommie's boy. 🥰 He waits and pouts by the door for her when she leaves. He is a very good and smart little boy. He had a rough start but he landed himself where he'll always be happy, appreciated and loved....like all dogs should be.
Sweet little Gertie! She is now a happy part of a very loved little pack. ❤️ Her Mom saw her online and immediately fell in love and knew that Gertie was a missing puzzle piece to their families perfect trio. She loved her immediately and took her home for a trial run and as you can see, a picture perfect, complete little puzzle. 🧩

We saw this poor girl on a re-homing page yesterday evening. Someone had taken her from a clearly abusive situation and wanted to give her a home, but, unfortunately she wasn't getting along with their other dog.
With shelters being full she would have no other option than to surrender her to a local high-kill pound. We really hoped someone would step up for her. We wish we could but we don't have the space, time or finances to cover her costs and care at this time.
When we checked online today, we saw that this lucky girl found a hero! Her hero, Kay, has worked with malnourished and abused dogs before and couldn't bare to see this girl euthanized without her having a chance!
Kay is picking her up today and taking her to the vet tomorrow morning at a PetVet 365 location. We wanted to share their upcoming journey & gofundme page. We will be posting updates along the way! She desperately needs financial help to give this girl the care she deserves. 🙏🙌🐾❤️

Before Rock and Rebecca go out on their adventures, Rock gets to pick his bandana that he wears. What a beautiful day to feel colorful, buddy! Last week, these two tiny cuties came into our rescue! They were bought from a pet store by their owners, but big life changes popped up for them and they no longer had the energy to make the time for these sweet boys anymore. Rats are really friendly, smart and fascinating! They love attention and make most excellent pets! For the most part, they're very easy to maintain. These boys are a little more shy (especially the little gray guy in the back) but they're going to get a lot of attention and love to get them ready for forever homes. We made a post last week about a sweet, 9 year old black lab who was in urgent need of a home due to some very unfortunate circumstances. Our dear friend, Lou (who owns and operates Dom's Gulf-now 'Clark'-gas station and mechanic shop on McNeilly Road) called us right away inquiring about Lily! Well, Lou took the 'leash' (haha), called her family, set up a drop off time and as you can see, the Clark station has a new pack member! Lily had another lab companion who passed away a few months ago and her whole World continued to flip. Lou has two pup friends, already, one being a spunky young lab, Izzy and an older little fella named Bear. Lou loves his dogs more than anything! We cannot express how lucky Lily is. 🍀❤️🐾 Many stories aren't as happy as Lily's is turning out. Many dogs who enter shelters that aren't specifically 'no kill' unfortunately do not come out alive into happy homes. A couple weekends ago, Skor got a much needed visit from his AWESOME chiropractor, Julie, who we are so very grateful to for always crackin' our guy back into place! 🐴🙏♥️ Here's a minute & a half video clip of his appointment. Sound on! 👀🔊 Poor Skor was born in 2008 and started racing in 2010 (he wasn't even 3 years old yet). Horses aren't fully developed until their about 4-6 years old. At 16 years old now, Skor has some pretty bad joint issues for being pushed too hard at a young age. Did you know that 72 horses died on the racetracks of Pennsylvania in 2023? (Stats according to 'Horseracing Wrongs'). It's all about speed and money. Horses are often abused and neglected serving their 'careers' on the track and are often times sent to 'kill pens' for auction/slaughter when they're no longer of use to the racetracks. Skor is one of the lucky ones. Sweet, sweet and happy little Peanut! 💕 Last week Jesse took Peanut to the vet for his 3rd radiograph to get a better look at his lungs! With his current antibiotics he seems to be getting a bit better! Our vet said that his lungs sound and look more clear. 😊 Even though he seems a little better, his issues have not been completely resolved. We are doing another 10 day course of his current antibiotics. Fingers crossed for this lucky little rabbit who gets to have a second chance. We have 4 adult 'Madagascar Hissing Cocroaches' who are looking for their forever homes! Apparently these interesting creatures really make for some easy to care for, low cost and fascinating pets. Of course, only if you're an insect lover. 🪳 Our 'Roach Guy' (🤣) gave us some of their Madagascar Hissing Roaches whenever we bought our 'feeder' Dubia Roaches. He thought we'd get a kick out of them. We sure did! We will be putting them in a little 5 gallon tank and making their environment happier for them. They can be adopted separately or together. We also have some babies (aka nymphs). We've been looking up more information on them today and they really are cool, little (er' big?) buggo buddies! Our sweet Thumper has been taken into a very loving foster home! 🥳 We are so grateful to his foster family for being so excited and making the room to care for and love him. We have had Bonnie and Clyde (our adoptable pair of bonded dogs) waiting for months until we had room to take them into foster care at our home. In order to help us get them sooner, Thumpers fosters stepped up and helped not only with Thumper's care but helped Bonnie and Clyde by making the room. This evening we went and met these two beautiful pups named Rex & Kessie! Their owner abandoned them about a year ago and they are in need of some help with care and finding forever homes. In a miracle situation, being adopted together would be heart squeezing! But, they would both lead happy lives being separated as long as they have their families to love forever.
