Here’s our plan for the year:

This Spring and Summer we are going to work on putting more titles on Azula. She is due to come into heat in July. If we have enough interested in a pup from her she will be bred to a very nice stud who has passed all his health evaluations and is an AKC Bronze Grand Champion.

These will be very healthy, high quality Dogo Argentinos. Both Azula and the stud we’ve chosen for her have their CHIC #. Healthy hips, elbows, eyes, patellas, hearts, full hearing, genetic panel testing, thyroid testing. There are not many breeders out there that are so thorough in this breed. If you want a high quality, and healthy pup from proven parents, feel free to message me about our breeding plans.

From our Fast CAT weekends earlier this month 😍 Sumo and Azula are working toward their DCAT titles. Azula also earned her CA title! She is only the 3rd Dogo Argentino to earn it 🥳

All of Azula’s health checks have come back with great results 🙌🏼 OFA hips good, elbows normal, patellas normal, hearing normal and cardiac normal 🎉🎉🎉 Her eyes are scheduled to be checked in March and then we will just need to do her thyroid after that.

Azula passed her OFA echocardiogram! Her heart is healthy and all looks good ❤️ We didn’t suspect she had any issues but you never know until you check! She gets her official OFA hip/elbow scores (prelims were good/normal) in February as well as her patella’s and eye check and her hearing has been BAER tested 3x in her life and all passing. Her most recent was officially sent into OFA for her records. We are striving to do everything right by this amazing breed 🙌🏼

I’m going to start putting together a waitlist for Azula’s first litter. She will be bred to Sumo this Fall for a Winter litter. Puppies will be trained to different scents and bird feathers for anyone interested in pursuing bird, rabbit, squirrel hunting with these guys. They will be raised indoors with Puppy Culture methods. Some exciting news for Zuzu! She did her first Fast CAT runs and got 4 qualifying runs to go toward her BCAT title! Then we just got results back on her OFA prelims: hips/good, elbows/normal! 💯💯💯

Azula did such a good job at the Puyallup, WA show today! Still the only Dogo Argentino entered in the PNW but I’m seeing a lot of self improvement with her which makes me proud! So many people came up to us excited to be seeing a Dogo Argentino for the first time. The judge was really impressed with her too which made us feel good! Plus Best of Breed got these pretty rosettes 🏵

I really wanted some new photos to post on Azula’s gotcha day, but alas, we have been way to busy this weekend 🙃 So I got one picture and it’s not great. On Friday it marked 1 year to the day that I spent a whole day on flights to go across the country for this sweet girl. She’s a gem ❤️
